binaryman Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 so I went on a short vacation and came back. In ISY none of my z-wave devices are responding. I've tried to reboot, and hard reboot the ISY, no luck. I don't want to do anything to screw up the devices etc., so coming to the forum for expert advice Can anybody tell me what I should try next?
Michel Kohanim Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Hi binaryman, I am so very sorry to hear. The first thing I recommend: 1. Backup ISY 2. If you see Z-Wave | Replicate (Learn Mode), then for some reason ISY is no longer the primary node 3. If NOT #2, do Z-Wave | Tools | Synchronize Nodes | All ... if this process removes all your Z-Wave nodes from ISY, then either the Z-Wave dongle is damaged OR has been reset by someone 4. If #3, then either signal/noise or the Z-Wave dongle. Try Heal With kind regards, Michel
binaryman Posted June 12, 2017 Author Posted June 12, 2017 well it was primary node so that's good Synchronize all didn't remove anything heal didn't fix anything... one device semi started responding then stopped, but the other 12 devices no-go any other ideas?
mwester Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Long shot, but try searching the house (and garage) for things that may possibly be "stuck" transmitting a 900MHz signal -- baby monitors, walkie-talkies, garage door remotes and receivers, etc. You may also like to try, one by one, power-cycling each z-wave device to see if one of them has its transmitter jammed on...
Michel Kohanim Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 binaryman, In addition to what mwester suggested, Don you have CT100 thermostats? With kind regards, Michel
binaryman Posted June 12, 2017 Author Posted June 12, 2017 power cycled and also reboot from java console. I have no ct100 thermostats, just a venstar. I will try to power cycle the devices this afternoon and report back. some are hardwired etc. so will be more difficult.
binaryman Posted June 12, 2017 Author Posted June 12, 2017 update... I reset a few devices that send information often (a couple temp\humidity sensors, and home power meter), and all looks good now after a heal... I'll roll with it for now, thanks guys!
