ISY-994i/IR PRO no worky

Well I've been searching for an answer and seem to be stuck.

I have an ISY-994 that I connected to a 2413S. I noticed the light on the PLM went out and I came to the conclusion that it was dead. I followed the below link and was able to get it to come back on with some new caps and the ISY says it can communicate with it.

The problem is when I go to restore the PLM it doesn't seem to work. The link table says 0 and I see a bunch of 'write failed' in the log.

I had a spare 2413UH laying around, so I swapped the USB and serial daughter cards. The ISY now sees the new address, but I get the same result as the newly functioning 2413S.

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?

I've attached logs from trying to do a 'restore PLM' as well as turn on a couple device from the ISY.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Michel. I have not done a File | Restore Devices. Only a File | Restore Modem (PLM) which I have tried a few times now. The logs should reflect this. I have also tried to manually query a few of the devices to check them but all have failed. The interesting thing is if I do a Tools | Diagnostics | PLM Info Status, I see the correct PLM address and it states it is connected. Right after the System Busy comes up and starts trying to communicate to several different device.

Hi Athlon2k2,

Thanks. This is what I suggest:

1. Move your PLM to a different outlet and one which is not shared with other transformers/power supplies

2. If you have any INSTEON thermostats, reboot them

3. Restore a good backup from before any of this (you might lose a few things). You have to make sure that it's from before replacing the PLM

4. File | Restore Devices

With kind regards,

Michel
