Cannot connect to DSC via EVL

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm in the process of switching from DSCLink to NodeLink to link my ISY to the DSC alarm.  I have NodeLink up and running but it seems unable to connect to the DSC, see screen shot.  I still have DSCLink running see screen shot.  I shut down DSCLink but it made no difference, NodeLink could still not connect.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,

TIm

You sure DSCLink is shut down (and a few minutes waited)?  EVL only allows a single connection at any given time.

Thanks io_guy,

I didn't wait a few minutes.  I have the 2 programs on different Pi's so I shut them both down and waited a few minutes.  Then I brought the Pi with NodeLink back online.  When I went to the browser interface I found that the configuration had been lost.  It looked as I was just turning it on for the first time.  I added the DSC information back in but I still get the same result.  New screen shot

Try connecting to it with a putty raw socket or Hercules and see what happens (port 4025).

I  configured the raw socket connection to the EVL as shown in the screen shot.  When I hit open it returned the code in the putty window screen shot.  I'm not familiar with this connection type, was that a proper response?

Thanks,
