Activate Program with Google Home

I have programs to wake me up in the mornings with lights switching on. As I don't have the same schedule every day, I have one program for Monday, one for Tuesday etc. and change the times of these wake-up programs as needed.  As with all ISY programs, these day programs need to be enabled to work.

I just added these programs to Google Home in ISY Portal and noticed something interesting. When I tell Google Home to turn on Monday, the program turns green in my Administrative Console, but 'enable' remains unchecked.

What is the meaning of the Program icon turning green without the 'enable'  being checked ?

I tried asking Google Home to 'enable' Monday, but the 'enable' command was not recognized by GH.

Does the green icon mean that the 'Monday' program will be executed, even without the 'enable' checked ?

I assume that you are running the then clause of your program which is why it turns green. I highly doubt it will run.

Most likely you will need to create another program which enables those programs in the then clause

(1) I created a program with (only) THEN enable  (program) Monday, but when asking GH to turn ON Monday, GH responds "Sure activating the Monday"  but the program was not enabled. Nothing happened either in event Viewer.

As a matter of fact I wonder whether what I want  is even possible as normally when enabling a program it must be saved. Maybe Benoit has an idea ?

(2) Something weird happens though.....  When asking GH to turn on or to activate "Monday", and then I click on the name of any program in the Administrative Console, and then click on the Monday program, the 'enable' changes to checked with apparently no need to save.  However if I do not click on the "Monday, the 'enable' appears as not checked.

Just to make sure I'm understanding properly, It only activates when clicking another program prior to checking it to see if its enabled?

Before my next thought; do you have an extra device you can use to test an idea?

Yes I have a spare plugin switch and I also thought of that idea, IF Switch X is ON THEN Program Monday is enabled.....  That is also your suggestion ? I will try tomorrow morning, but if it were to work then I would need 7 (for each day)  spare switches.....

Under the then, say:

Turn lamp on

enable Monday program

turn lamp off.

See if that enables your monday program

I tried both your suggestion and mine, but same result......  Program Monday is enabled after I click on any program and then then on Monday...... Very weird.

I don't believe the ISY Portal has any control over program enables, only running Then and Else. The program icon turning green indicates that Then ran last.

Many use programs that change the enable of another program succesfully and without saving.

Thanks larryllix, I understand your point but some communication takes place when asking GH to activate "Monday".  I was hoping for Benoit to delve into this question.
