v.5.0.14 and the 2441TH Themostat

Probably me, but when I upgraded to v.5.0.14, thought everything went pretty well (even got back the Z-Wave stuff easily enough).  Looks like I can see and control the 2441TH, but am having a bit of an issue seeing the current Heat/Cool State on the Administrative Console.  Pretty sure that everything else seems to be working as expected (programs, etc) post upgrade.  Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any inputs.

Michel,

Sorry to have not responded earlier, the indications of heating/cooling do show up on the thermostats themselves.

Enabled the notify me of replies, so I don't end up getting sidetracked again.

Hi Michel,

Yes, the Temperature does change, as does the humidity.  Though, I also noticed that when the Options button is selected, a checkbox pops up requesting a confirmation of Report Humidty (sic), which when checked does not seem to remember it was checked... Minor nit.

Removed and added.  No change in behavior.  Still not seeing any Heat/Cool state information, not seeing Cool Ctl or Heat Ctl information.  The Thermostat is v.10 (just another data point).

Michel,

I take it back (obviously, I'm too darned impatient).  Looks like dropping and adding was the solution.  Am now seeing Idle in the Heat/Cool State.

Thank you very much for the fix, will probably have to do same for a few other oddly behaving devices.  Very grateful for your time and patience with me.

Figure I'll weigh in as I just replaced an older version of the 2441TH (V1.3 3512) with a new one (v2.1 4218) as the old one did not send out any updates and had to be queried for everything.

I removed the old tstat and installed the new, then added the new to the ISY (at which point it added three nodes, Main, Cool Ctl and Heat Ctl). I then did a replace of the old with the new, at which time, the Heat Ctl and Cool Ctl nodes disappeared. I deleted and then added back the thermostat and then all three nodes showed again.

I will watch/observe more closely, but I don't believe the temperature is updating automatically on the admin console (not sure about the humidity which I enabled reporting in the options). I'll let you know what I see with this.

Is it expected to have the temperature and humidity automatically updated? I thought this was one of the advantages of the newer version of the tstat (and is one of the reasons I "upgraded").

EDIT: Another thing I potentially wanted to use was performing actions based on when the tstat started/stopped heating/cooling (e.g. ceiling fans). I tested this using the Heat Ctl (on/off) as well at the Main node's state (heating/idle) and both of those are working/being reported as expected (just having emails sent right now as confirmation).

EDIT2: If the tstats do send out temperature/humidity updates automatically, what does that traffic look like (in the event viewer/device communications)? Is there a way to determine what temperature/humidity it's sending?

EDIT3: So it appears the humidity is updated (in admin console), but not the temperature.

Here I see an update of the humidity in the device communications (50.59.AE is the tstat):

I then did a query of the tstat which if I recall correctly updated both humidity and temp:
