KeypadLinc Problem

I have a KeypadLinc 2486D v.29 with 6 buttons. It controls the attached light correctly, but when I press any of buttons A/B/C the button light blinks and then stays off. The ISY event reviewer records an event DOF. For button D I don't have this problem (it toggles on/off and events are reported by the ISY as expected).

 

Button A is in a group with an Insteon Light switch (which it does not control, but the ISY controls the light without problem). Buttons B/C/D are not in groups, but the status of button B is used in a program (which it does not control correctly).

 

Is the unit bad?

How can I diagnose the problem?

Sounds like those buttons are in "non-toggle mode".

Thank you, this solved the problem!

Is there a place where all these "tricks and issues" are summarized? I find lots of examples in the wiki and forum, but have a hard time understanding the concepts.

The Quickstart Guide in the Wiki is a good place to start, but to be honest there is so much information and variation that it's almost impossible to put it all in one place.

 

We do have a fantastic community on this forum, so if you get stuck please post and you'll almost certainly find someone able to help.
