Posted September 10, 20196 yr I know it is supposed to be a dimmer, but it's working fine. Will this cause any harm? It's just a normal fan with no light. Thanks!

September 10, 20196 yr The relay is only available in 6 button but can be reconfigured to be an 8 button. If all you need is on/off control of the fan, I would put a micro module relay in the fan and link it to the dimmer keypad Edited September 10, 20196 yr by lilyoyo1

That’s what I was told.

Something controls the DC motor control circuitry. If there is multiple inputs to that circuitry, from a switch or relay, an Insteon solution should work.

The fanlinc won't work in regards controlling the fan itself. However there is AC power going to the fan so a micro relay would work for on/off only control
