Problem with one KPL and voice commands

I have a few KPLs and it seems I have an issue with a voice command for one.

For the load (A button) I cant seem to tell Alexa to turn the light on to a percentage, just on or off.

Its registered as a light in the ISY Portal, Alexa's online GUI has it just the same as the other lights.

I must be overlooking something but I'm not sure what.

I am in Ontario also and alexa reports "Sorry, something went wrong" with every command right now. My guess is they are actually responding to my suggestions how to fix the ISY Portal responses that trigger Routines and have made a bigger mess of it.

UPDATE: My mistake. I swapped two CAO Wireless Tags names today and Alexa didn't like it. I disabled the Tag  skill and then re-enabled again and alexa stopped complaining. All is well again.

I've had this issue for a while now with the KPL.

Larry, what's a CAO?

Other KPLs can take a command for a percentage, just not this one in particular.

Is there something I can do to fix this?

(i.e. rediscover or whatnot)

CAO is a company name that manufactures or distributes these wireless Tags.

http://caogadgets.com/

JImbo has created a NS to support them in ISY. They can also be used with other interfacing methods or alone, without ISY at all.

Just giving this post a bump.

Hoping someone has had this issue or a solution.

Should I try to Restore Device?

Just checking to see if anyone had any thoughts on this issue?

When I ask this KPL to turn on 30% (or any percentage)

Alexa asks "Did you mean Basement Living Room?"

When I say yes she just turns it on 100%

Every other device (KPLs included) have no problem turning on to any percentage.

The lights being controlled are dimmable. As faros I can see theres no difference in the basement KPL set up from any other in the house.

Most likely it's getting confused with the name which throws things off. Try naming it something outside of anything you're using to see if that works.

As long as devices are setup properly in the ISY and portal, most issues will come down to the name. If something isn't working properly, I would ensure its the actual device (and not a scene) and try calling it something outside of what you're currently using

This worked great when I called it Skywalker.

Is it too many scenes/devices/etc with the word Basement in the name?

Is there a fix for this or do I have to 'turn on Skywalker' for the rest of eternity?

;)

Outside of what I previously told you, no.

If it's a ceiling light, you could call it that and and it to the room as ceiling. Then you would simply say turn off the ceiling or whatever you want
