Got an email the other day (20201129) from UDI Sales, Introducing UD Mobile for Android.

UD Mobile - Apps on Google Play

I thought i might give it a try on an old Verizon Android based tablet, model QMV7B, Android version: 4.4.2.

The tablet is also known as an:  Ellipsis 7.

When I try to install from the play.google.com Install link it won't activate the Continue button and indicates: "No eligible devices for app install".

I'm not an Android user so the Google Play Store is alien to me. I'm either doing something wrong or this tablet is too old.

Any ideas?   thanks,   -phil

I suspect that your android OS is too old.  In the play store, in the app description, is there not an eligibility requirement for andoid?

Ok.  I just looked it up and downloaded to my phone.  It seemed to download fine (android version 11).  Unfortunately, I will have to wait until later to go any further, since I do not have my portal login credentials.

Tons of error messages.  It never did finish sync and I ended up canceling the sync.  Just providing feedback.  Not complaining. :)

Hi @carealtor,

Have you submitted an issue?   We had a few major bugs with the first release to testers.  ISY's without the Z-Wave feature were all affected. It's now very obvious we had no testers without the Z-Wave feature in alpha.  Also a few node servers were causing issues,  the app is built so node server DEVs can sync and find errors with their node server files before released to users.   With this in mind a few node server errors may be presented to the user if they have not been fixed.

I'm awaiting feedback from some users who reported issues, most who have responded have reported their issue as resolved by version 0.29.

Please submit issues here: https://github.com/UniversalDevicesInc/UD-Mobile-Android

Thanks

I think I'm going to wait and let it mature a little bit before diving into it any more.  Thanks for the work on this.

Javi,

How about support for Elk alarm system? Will that be coming soon?

Hi @DennisC,

As time permits more features will be added, however I do not have time frames.

Just to close the loop...  I fired it up again, it asked if I wanted to sync, I said yes.  No errors this time and everything looks right at quick glance.  Great work on this!  Thanks!

Hi,

I am very happy to see this app developed. I just downloaded it today.

I have been using ISY since 2015 and have been waiting for a descent app for Android. I've used ISY, Mobilinc, Agave, Tasker, and I even integrated ISY to Home Assistant just to have an app but nothing really fully support all the new development that is currently happening in ISY. I am really liking this app since I am now able to see all my devices and all of its functionality/statuses regardless if the device is integrated from Nodelink or Polyglot. I am hoping to see this app thrive in the coming years. I will continue to use the app and will provide some feedback later in this thread.

Thanks you for all that you do in the ISY community.

Best,

Larry
