For it to work you also have a registered and valid Tap-a-talk account. Based on the other apps forced on unsuspecting customers of any Google product, Tap-a-talk should be least if our problems. Again, I assure you the app is NOT currently installed. However.... what did happen is the equivalent to uninstalling a program on windows and having the uninstaller not remove all the registry entries that the installer previously installed. The app is not using any memory. It is not installed.

Yeah, just remnants, but now I am hearing about the UDI forum has parts installed in it to accommodate Tap-a-talk and you guys are discussing iOS also. Don't know anything about that and I avoid Apple things with a vengeance. If and when I formerly tried to help my wife with Apple products they always broke. Apple was formerly worse than Google for trying to control our thinking. After watching my wife forced into an iPad upgrade with the same amount of memory and CPU speed so her Netflix app could resume working, and seeing how her whole life was available from the manufacturer to be installed without her old iPad even running or nearby, I have been hiding in a lead-shielded Faraday cage, with a tinfoil hat on.

The same happens with android. At some point, apps will not work unless on newer firmware phones

Geddy Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 @BamBamF16 & @MrBill That's good to hear! Although, from what I was seeing with regard to Tapatalk was that the banner was only supposed to be seen once a month. Perhaps something wasn't being triggered when you were visiting and it was happening all the time. From the Tapatalk site: Quote Smart App Banner gives your visitors an option to enter a discussion on the mobile web, or open the same thread in app, so they can easily sign-in to your group and start participating. Smart App Banner will only be seen by a user once a month. So it might only be limited excitement, but at least if it's only happening once a month instead of each page load that will be great! @larryllix The issue was not just limited to iOS users as @DennisC is on Android and also never had Tapatalk installed.
