Geddy Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 @Roman I too had removed the geofence area as part of the troubleshooting since @MrBill had success in doing that with Locative. So hopefully that helps on your wife's phone. I'm the only one running geofence triggers on the phone or else I'd probably have to do the same on wife's and son's phones. As another note my geofence for our alarm system is also working more reliably. That is outside of ISY/Moblinc, but was also wonky since ios15 upgrade. The only "reliable" geofence settings that I had seen was with Alexa, but I rarely use those. However, had changed to those for some casual triggers while I waited for the iOS updates to fix prior location trigger apps.

Removed the GEOFENCE variable from ISY and resync still issue, did you by chance have to completely remove the app from the phone... I did so much with mine now not certain what steps in the past helped with me upgrading to 15.3 which on my phone working no issues.

I didn’t do it after updating to 15.3.

Early On I deleted the geofence from the locative app, and re-added it. I can't remember for certain if I also deleted the app from the phone. For the most part, my wife and mines phone via the locative app does enter and exit the geofence correctly, but not 100%... I still have extra notification programs enabled to manually supervise... which is a PITA...

Had to delete OrchMobiLinc from the iPhone completely reinstall and reset the GEOFENCING, as well did delete the variable from the ISY. This procedure though a bit time consuming did end up working the best for me thus far. Roman

I know it was mentioned to deleted the variable in the ISY.. Do you just leave the phone alone and let the phone update the ISY ? Roman

Do you just leave the phone alone and let the phone update the ISY ? @Roman I always deleted/added the geofence on the phone (in the app) then made sure the variable on the ISY matched what's in Mobilinc. As @MrBill stated, just removing the variable on the ISY wouldn't solve anything. It's the phone that is having issues. The ISY is being triggered by the phone so just doing something on the ISY would never fix the problem. According to the old Mobilinc instructions the app makes the variable on the ISY. So I guess it also deletes it if you remove the geofence, but always safe to check. Make sure to pay attention to the note on that page: Quote *NOTE: When creating the geo-fence in MobiLinc, please close the Admin Console until after the geo-fence is created in MobiLinc. Then re-open the Admin Console to allow the Admin Console to see the new variable created by MobiLinc in the ISY. New variables are set to an initial value of "2" meaning the location is "Unknown" until your iOS device crosses your geo-fence boundary. Perhaps you had admin console open when you were messing with the geofence in the app and you should have closed admin console for the app to make the changes then gone in and checked that the variable was made and correct. 16 hours ago, Roman said: seems to be working today. I'm curious to see if others experience good geofence experiences once updated to iOS 15.
