IRLinc Transmitter needs more emitters

Featured Replies

Has anyone found an economical way to get more emitters (that work) attached to a 2411T?

thanks,

I have not even plugged the 2411T in yet. not sure where to start.

should I start with connecting it to my ISY (2.7.5) or by teaching it some IR first and then connect it to ISY?

See the second post on this thread for the steps you need to follow to link. A few of us have had mixed results when working with this device.

2.7.7 and 2.7.8 are still Alpha and you had to send UDI Support a request for the link to get it.

So, can I use the 2411T with 2.7.5?

if 2.7.6 and 2.7.7 are still alpha, why should I mess with them? I don't want to have to downgrade my software should there be a problem.

2.7.6 was Beta and what many of us are using.

2.7.7 and 2.7.8 where Alpha

There are threads indicating 2.7.9 should be released by next Monday.

which versions will support the 2411T?

I believe that it was introduced in 2.7.7a. If you don't want to downgrade, I recommend waiting for the next beta.

I've personally had trouble with the device taking a long time to link with my ISY. A replacement is on the way, though. I'll post on the forums if I have better luck with that unit.

Update: The replacement unit had the same issues as the first. UD offered to take a look at it, so I've just shipped it off to them. Hopefully they'll be able to find out what may be causing the issue for some of us.
