Query all command not saved

Recently upgraded to 5.3.4 - nightly Queryall program won't save - runs 3am - only one command - Response type 10.

Is nightly query still recommended?  Did something change from 4.7.x (think that was my last version).

if you have an insteon system then yes you likely want the 3am query program to run.  If it's been damaged or changed it can be manually created.

Query All - [ID 0002][Parent 0001]

If
        Time is  3:00:00AM

Then
        Set 'ISY' Query

Else
   - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

Factory Query Program

to set the THEN body:

@MrBill Saw this post. Just migrated to isy on polisy. Lost this program. Cant recreate it as there is nothing available except the nodes below My Lighting. Also, nothing called ISY. Any suggestion? Thanks

Post a picture of your device tree.

Mine is called Polisy, but I probably re-named it that.

It might be called "My Lighting" unless that is a folder icon.  My top folder is named Network, pretty sure I didn't change that.

Should be the first node under the top folder.  (It should have an icon just like the ISY in the picture above)

@gzahar. The top of the tree shows in the lights in MAIN.. but does NOT show as a pull down option in programing devices.

So you are looking for a node called "My Lighting".  It does not show up if you scroll down to the M's?

@gzah sorry, should have already said that NO, it doesn't.

You mentioned you migrated. What was the node called on your other box? If different, maybe it is in your devices under that name? Or the opposite, it’s whatever the default name on Polisy is and not the update from restore. All I can think of at this point. Other than going over all the nodes in your drop down looking for the noted icon. You might try restarting Admin console and verifying UI and firmware match, if you haven’t already.
Hopefully someone else can help.

Michel fixed it. It was embarrassingly simple... My Lighting is down in the Scenes part of the drop down!  Was there all along, I just never went down that far in the list!

Thanks @Michel Kohanim as usual for you quick and simple fixes!!

So I need to write a program that queries the system every night?  Have honestly never done this.  I can't tell you how many years I've had it and my entire lighting system is Insteon.  Hmmmm, will have to put that on my list.  Suppose this carry over and need to be done on Isy on Polisy?

Purpose?  Just to update links and device statuses?

No need to get huffy about this.  The "Factory Query All" program came pre-installed on your ISY 994i if that is what you have.   If it's disappeared it will take 90 seconds to recreate as detailed above in the thread by a very helpful person.   Depends on how good your comms are whether you need it or not.  I disabled it on mine because with a possibly failing PLM (since replaced) but otherwise perfect comms  it was causing more problems than it solved.

Not meaning to sound huffy, I just never heard of it and wondered what it should do or might cause if I didn't have it?  Just chatting with a friend of mine, he too said he thought it "came factory" but I logged in and looked in my programs and only see what I've written.

So, what does this query produce?  Does it update links?  You disabled yours with a failing plm.  Is that because it might have messed with links?

Yes, I've got the 994zw ir pro.  Just ordered a Polisy pro, trying to catch up on reading to prep for change over and get everything "ship shape" to try to make it as smooth a transition as possible.

Maybe it doesn't come in the zw version.   Others know better than I.   I don't know much about zwave.  Anyway it's very simple (see earlier in the thread).  As I understand it (which may be wrong), it goes through the PLM to all the Insteon devices and updates the internal ISY representation of the status of all the devices.  Presumably at 3:00 am the rest of the system is quiet and the rest of the house may be electrically quiet also (for better comms).    The reason I disabled the program on mine was that during the query some insteon devices were being turned on that shouldn't have been.  I figured this was because of screwed-up insteon traffic from the PLM, not the fault of the ISY.    I also wrote programs to disable some key devices during the query  all program (can't remember just now what I did).  Anyway once I replaced the PLM the problems went away.

I'd only worry about recreating it if you notice that the ISY seems to have innaccurate knowledge of device status - - but really I wouldn't be satisfied if the ISY were routinely ignorant of the status of one or more devices for hours at a time, as would seem to be  needed to have a benefit from a nightly Query All.

The friend I mentioned has the same isy as I (zw-ir pro).  His had it.  So, I went about adding it.  Seemed simple enough, "If 3 am"  then "Query ISY".... EXCEPT I couldn't find "Isy" as a device....  Finally typed "I" to start typing Isy and it "Popped Up" in the bottom of the list.  I then saved it, so we'll see what happens.

Just an FYI for anybody trying to add it and can't find Isy as a device.
