Just a question about the Open/Close device (on the unit itself it is listed as 2843-222, but it links to the ISY as a 2421):

What is the Delay (immediate or delayed) mode? How would you use it?  What about retries?  How does this work?

I'm not sure how these work.

Thanks!

There were several versions of that item, as far as the ISY is concerned they all work the same, thus the inclusion under the part number they were known by.   I believe one model specifically meant "retail packaging".

I'm not sure immediate/delayed applies to ISY.   I have alot of open/close sensors, they can be included in a scene to turn the light on when the door is open, or they can be used in programs with either control or status.  I have many that control lights via a scene, some that control lights via a program.  All door sensors are included in away mode programs to let me know something has been opened while away, etc.

retires is simply communication retries.  You shouldn't need retries > 1, if you do then you have a different communication problem that you should attack instead of increasing retries.
