That seems to be all the information there is right now.  Good news though.  Hopefully it'll be followed up with more details on when the Insteon products will be back in stock.

I'm sure they don't even know when things will be back in stock.  Order sizes, vendor relationships, negotiations, production times, all of that will need to be worked on.  I'm sure there is thoughts on all of this already and the old vendor relationships may be revivable, but it will be a minimum of 1-2 quarters I'm sure and probably more.  I'd venture that some items will be over a year.

I don't know why this comes off as a shell game where Michel at UDI never had a chance in winning this so called bankruptcy / shut down. I gave both the previous clowns a chance to prove themselves over the course of twenty years. ?

Both failed at every turn and burned the company into the dirt. ?

If the new owners states they will allow third party vendors to make Insteon hardware like UDI PLM Pro. I'll give them the rope they need and the time to get the so called company underway.

If we see no other public engagement with the customer base - besides this posting.

The writing is on the wall this is the same incompetent as^holes running the show! ?

I haven't been wrong yet as it relates to Insteon / Smarthome management . . .

That is too bad. Same old numbskulls who took years to even find out they where using the wrong type memory in a PLM.

See now you went out of your way to burst my bubble! ?  I had the smallest sliver of hope this new guy / team would come through.

Now . . .

Only to find out there's still an imbecile in the house . . . ??

Well, hopefully it's someone's brother in law and has been demoted to refilling staplers?   One can hope.

Look at us trading places. I hope I'm wrong. When they finally release product we'll see.

I'm not really worried about them selling hardware. What needs to change is allowing anyone (license) to build their own wares based on the Insteon technology. Selling the needed Insteon IC, Programmer, and direct support from engineers.

Work toward releasing iCS3 which incorporates real encryption . . .

Offer both the Nokia (Lets call it the pro line) and continue to sell the bread and butter Insteon line. Spend the extra $3~8 dollars for quality board level components!

Lastly, f^cken iterate the line and build on the hardware's success! ?

Almost forgot - Release the hardware for our brothers across the pond for Christ sakes! Along with anyone else from Asia, Europe, Middle East, there's only 7 freaking billion people out there besides North America! ?

In the real early days of Insteon. We saw a list of other vendors wanting to use the Insteon Technology. It quietly vanished and big name players chose Zwave instead. Hope history doesn't repeat itself.

What they need to do is license the design of the switch/paddle so other companies can make them... eg. Zooz, Jasco etc.

My opinion is that there is no other switch in this DIY market of HA that has the nice feel of an Insteon switch.

Imagine purchasing a Z-Wave switch that feels like an Insteon SwitchLinc Relay with removable/replaceable paddle etc.
