@Geddy Have you any idea why I've stopped getting emails from the forum? I'm following several threads but haven't received emails for at least a week. I never got one about 5.5.9 release, saw it in the email that went out about i3 Insteon.

I'm not sure. I didn't get the 5.5.9 release notification either. I'd have to check with the developers of the forums. Good question. I'll look into it and see if it's a known issue and if UDI can do anything to get us updated and corrected.

@Geddy It turns out that, for me anyway, Outlook.com has blacklisted the forum@universal-devices.com address so I'm not getting any of the Forum emails to my InBox, Spam or Deleted Items folders and UDI is receiving Abuse email reports from their Amazon provider. The only thing I could do was create a Gmail address to use on my Forum account.

Weird, because I receive universal-devices to my Outlook.com account.

I think it's only effecting my inbox.

Another work around I found was to create an email alias for my email account and use the alias for my forum email. So, this way I don't need to configure the Gmail account as all the aliases send and receive from the primary account.

That's strange. I didn't get the notification for the new release topic was made (when you first mentioned that you didn't get the alert/notification). I do get other notifications and made a test area to check and got notifications just fine.  Additionally, I didn't get a forum alert (in the bell at the top right). But, if you get them using Gmail then that should be good. I wonder if you could just filter to auto forward from Gmail to outlook.com and you would get it.

Hopefully it was a fluke just this time that the alert didn't go out. Thanks for the update.

Some where you should have the ability to add the domain to a "white list" or "safe sender" list. This should allow you to receive email notifications again.

Yes there is a white and black list on Outlook.com and it was the first place I went. However, this block or blacklist appears to be occurring at a different layer in the transport and is controlled by Oulook.com server side. All the information I've found puts the ownness on the sender to submit a form to Oulook.com to have their domain removed from the list.

This all started when a spammer hijacked the universal-devices.com domain and sent upwards of 50 spam emails to my inbox impersonating universal-devices.com. The next day all email from forum.universal-devices.com stopped arriving at my inbox and UDI started to receive alerts of abusive emails from their domain being reported by my email address.

@vbPhil I just hid that post as the spammer is gone. Interesting that you got alerts from all that. I guess they posted to a thread/area you followed and got lots of notifications.

Sucks that outlook.com somehow started blocking UDI messages from that. Perhaps somebody at UDI has the ability to get the address removed from the blacklist. I'm sure that's easier said than done.

But yeah...that weekend was a rough weekend for a spam attack. Adjustments have been made to try to avoid that again.

The email suggest that he created the topic himself.

I've had discussions with UDI about this and so far they haven't reached out to get unblocked. It's expected that I have to get Outlook to unblock them. The problem there is the industry expects the sender to get themselves unblocked so forms that could be submitted require certain server information like IP ranges and such that I don't have. At this point the hope is that it just goes away on its own.
