I am struggling to get a Schlage lock to show up properly and wonder what I am doing wrong.

I migrated from an ISY994 and everything was working great however, after migration the lock was burning through batteries like crazy. after several weeks I finally removed from the eisy and battery life was going great. I figured I would add the device back in and now when I ty to do so it just shows up as an Entry Control with no actions avail.

I am truly a novice and learning, I have several repeaters, a switched outlet within 15 ft, another lock and another switched socket that are all working beautifully (rock solid).

Any advice?

I have the same issue with two Schlage locks. I opened a ticket and was told to do the following that you may want to try.

1) Remove the Schlage lock (Z-Wave | Remove a Z-Wave Device)

2) Factory reset the door lock

3) Make sure Z-Wave | Use Secure Inclusion is set On

4) Add the Schlage lock again

I've completed these steps several times on both locks with no change.

Since you have entered it several times. Lets exclude it from the network just to make sure any parried association is removed. You do this by following the same procedure except you use the Remove a Z-Wave Device. Set that to listen then enter your user ID and pad code to as the Schlage says on how do to so... If the listen screen is still there waiting means it did not find anything matching that device. If it disappears after setting the lock to exclusion/inclusion then it found something and removed it.

Now try adding your device.

I have removed the z-Wave device and it still shows under the main tree. I have then right click "Delete" the device and the entry device is no longer there. After completing these steps and attempting to add the device again it still shows up as a "entry control" with no available options. Im at a loss as to the next steps, ironic that it was "working" after the migration albeit draining the batteries horribly.

What steps did you follow remove the Zwave device?

Z-Wave > Remove a Device >Press button on Schlage Lock (Device is recognized by IoX and lock confirms)

After doing so, the device still appears in the tree. I Right Click Delete to remove.

is there a better process/am I doing something wrong?

The remove should've removed the device from the tree as well. May be a bug. I would submit a ticket

Sometimes it takes more than one remove to completely remove a ZWave device.

Try this:

Open the Event Viewer to level 3.

Select ZWave - Remove a ZWave Device

Put your lock in to enrollment function (be sure to follow user manual instructions)

During this process, keep an eye on the Event Viewer for any errors.

Reboot your UD device (you indicated you migrated from ISY994, but I don't recall if you are on eisy or Polisy)

Note: You should be on v5.5.9 for either eisy or Polisy. If not go to Configuration page Upgrade Packages. If you needed to upgrade, be sure to reboot a second time.

With Event Viewer open to level 3, go ahead and re-add the lock (be sure to follow user manual instructions). Keep an eye on Event Viewer window.

If after this, there is still an issue, with the Event Viewer still open try:

Right clicking on lock in admin console and select ZWave - Synchronize - Update with Interview. Check Event Viewer window for errors.

If there is still an issue, try right clicking on lock and select  ZWave - Synchronize - Update. Check Event Viewer.

If none of this works, open a support ticket with UD.

well, I wish I could report the details of how I "fixed" it but, sadly, I lost track of all the steps I did. The Bottom Line is it is now working again (thank god).
I ended up restoring from a backup, removing a bunch of devices, healing the network, and adding back in everything, luckily I only have 10 devices right now so it wasn't too bad. My other lock had a similar issue when I added it back, however, I removed it and then added it again and all is great. something seems odd but I don't know what caused it. Thanks everyone for your guidance. I learned a bunch through this process which will no doubt prove useful!

I just went through this mess myself.  Ultimately, I believe the issue to be with the lock itself as I had three others that had no issues at all.

Anyone else have a lock that added itself as 15 different nodes? (image shown are all the same lock, and there were more that popped up on their own after that).

There are a few things you could try if you haven't already:

With Event Viewer open to level 3, go ahead and re-add the lock (be sure to follow user manual instructions). Keep an eye on Event Viewer window.

If after this, there is still an issue, with the Event Viewer still open try:

Right clicking on lock in admin console and select ZWave - Synchronize - Update with Interview. Check Event Viewer window for errors.

If there is still an issue, try right clicking on lock and select  ZWave - Synchronize - Update. Check Event Viewer.

If none of the above works, you could try removing the lock and re-adding while watching the Event View for any clues.

To determine the nodes that should be present, right click on the device and select Xray. When the screen opens, select "Device/Channel Database Object" then hit Go. You can follow this with "Device/Channel Database File" then hit Go.

They all mapped back to the same lock.

Somehow it saw the channels separately and indicated the device was not multichannel.

I DID eventually get this working however now, I cannot set any of the parameters on it.  Can't set user codes or anything.

@MWoods329 You've got 2 posts going on the same issue? Instead of posting in a thread that appeared resolved you should keep the help in one spot.

Please use your new thread for further help/troubleshooting -
