I need to replace the ISY 994 with the Polisy system. My devices are insteon switches and outlet.  The questions I have are as follows:

1) once I install Polisy, can i restore the ISY Backup to the Polisy?

2) will my Mobilinc app work with Polisy?

3) will the Insteon device works?

Why Polisy vs using Eisy device?

Eisy is the Universal Devices replacement for the ISY.  I moved to it from my ISY.

@fman47  Do you already have the Polisy?   If you purchased it awhile ago then you want to migrate to Polisy (more steps than just loading the backup).  if you don't have the Polisy it's no longer for sale and you will be purchasing eisy. 

(Polisy was available for a relatively short period of time before a supply chain issue derailed its production, after which the 994 replacement became eisy) .  

have not purchased anything. system just crashed last night. Hope the EISY is simple transition. where can I learn more about it

EISY is out of stock but from an email I received yesterday they should be back in stock by the end of the month.. For education on the EISY read through the WIKIs and and search these forums. If you only have insteon then EISY is your only choice to replace.. The 994 is usually rock solid and dies when either the power supply or SD card go bad. I would try replacing the power supply first.

Under the eisy tab on the main forum page. If you google eisy wiki, you can also find information.

I doubt it since mobilinc has long been disco'd and not updated. Most here uses the UD Mobile app which information can be found under its own subforum on the main home page. You can also ask your question in the mobilinc subforum. Wes still responds there.

Yes, Moblinc (Pro) works with the eisy (at least as of current attempted use) but only for basic Insteon and Z-wave devices. It does not allow any node server or Zigbee devices to be found.

You might want to begin looking at UD Mobile as an optional replacement. Information for that can be found here on the forums and in the UDI Wiki.

Especially since Mobilinc hasn't been updated in ages.
