OpenWeatherMap values (repeat)

This is a restart of the same topic from last December. I got involved in other issues which precluded me from continuing and that topic is now closed.

My problem is that OpenWeatherMap in PG3x does not show useful data. When I look at Node Details for OpenWeatherMap it shows values of all 0.

Bob Paauwe: You previously requested I send you the log package in a PM but I don't have your email address so I can't do that. I attached it to this post instead. Hopefully it provides some useful information.

FYI, you send a PM by going to the top of the screen and selecting the closed envelope to the left of your username. Then select compose new message.

For recipient, you use the person's username (for this site), not their email address.

It's failing with "Invalid API key. Please see https://openweathermap.org/faq#error401 for more info."

OpenWeatherMap has multiple types of subscription plans and the API keys for the different types of plans aren't interchangeable.

The OpenWeatherMap plug-in was written to use the plans that are under the "Professional Collection".  It won't work with API keys for the "One Call API 3.0" subscription plan.  I suspect that your key is for this plan.

The other thing that causes issues is that when you request an API key, it doesn't immediately become active.  They say it can take a few hours.  In some cases, it seems that "few" can translate to over 24 hours.

I would like to subscribe to the "Professional Collection" but OpenWeatherMap has an email address for me which no longer exists and which I cannot change. Whenever I try to do anything, including change the email address, the response is sent to the non-existent email address.

How can I get rid of the old email address at OpenWeathertMap? Is there a phone number I can call?

Can you try creating a new account? Maybe using just an initial for first name if there is a conflict?

Creating a new account is a way around the problem without solving it. There has to be a way to remove an email address that no longer exists.

That would be between you and OpenWeatherMap. You would need to ask them through their support link.

That's why I need a phone number. When I try to contact by computer I never get a reply.

If anyone has a phone number, please send it.

I thought it worked but I was wrong. It failed, saying that my email address was already taken.

I logged on to OpenWeatherMap and got good data for my location. I double checked my API key on OpenWeatherMap, it matches the API key in my eisy. Location is correct. Polyglot 3x still shows all values as 0.

I attached the log in case it might prove helpful.

No, that log doesn't help at all.  You need to provide the plug-in log, not the IoX log.

But, I'll re-iterate, the plug-in only works with the Professional Collections API, NOT the One Call (either 3.0 or 2.5) API.

Once an API key is generated for your OpenWeatherMap account, it can take anywhere from 1 to 48 hours before it becomes active.
