rg65
I added a Venstar thermostat and may replace my other 2. However, the display on my laptop does not show the important things to set except in a very small scrollable window at the bottom of the screen. There are many cells showing useless items. Is there any way to get rid of the useless cells so the settings show on the screen? I have changed themes and font sizes, but the important stuff is still hidden. Thank you! Quote Link to comment
Goose66
This is one of those "You can please all of the people all of the time" sort of things, I think. For those that want the runtimes, then there's no way to make it optional, I'm afraid. But I am surprised that you use the Admin Console for day to day management of your thermostats. The Admin Console is really designed for ... you know ... admin. Try UD Mobile. This should provide a better interface for making day-to-day settings on your thermostat. 1 Quote Link to comment

I don't really change them that often. At my office I leave it up most of the time so I can see the status of a certain thermostat I have to keep an eye on. I really don't want to grab my phone every time. Thank you! Quote Link to comment
DennisC
This issue is similar to displaying a plugin with a large number of nodes. If there are more nodes then fit in the window, you can not see them. Dating back to Polisy first coming out, I submitted a support ticket to UD requesting a scroll bar in the margin to move the page down. It was added to the to do list but never implemented. When eisy came out the issue was still there. I submitted another ticket and had some back and forth with UD over it. They confirmed the need for the scroll bar and said it would be added sometime in the future, but they wouldn't say when. The ticket was then closed. I waited a little over a year and submitted another ticket. Same answer, but this ticket is still being kept open at my request. UD is typically very responsive to requests, so this must be a very low hanging issue in their opinion. Maybe if they receive some additional requests........ 1 Quote Link to comment
Goose66
I guess I wasn’t appreciating that there was no scroll bar. Yes, that is a serious UI issue. Very surprised it has gone this long without being fixed. Also a little surprised that the Java UI libraries don’t just automatically handle it. Could it be as simple as a flag in the window creation code? Quote Link to comment
Goose66
@Javi Is there a workaround for the missing scroll bar here? Quote Link to comment
