Disabling 'Upgrade Status' UDM notification

Featured Replies

There's an update for IoX I don't plan to run soon, but I'm getting 'Upgrade available' notifications on UD Mobile about 3 times a day (including at 4AM).  Can someone point me to a procedure to disable this sort of alert?  Don't want to disable all notifications.

Thanks in advance.

UD Mobile > Notifications Tab > Menu > Mobile Devices/Groups > Groups > System Notifications.

Appreciate the answer.  Is there something that defines what all is suppressed by that, assume it isn't just the update notification.

Actually, turning off the system notification in UDM did not help.  I still got an upgrade available notification.

try the Plugin Notifications (PG3).  I think the system are only for connect and disconnect from portal.

Is there a reason not to update? The latest devices (Polisy and eisy) handle so much more than the older ISY994 devices and updates are fixing bugs and other programming dependencies that are best to keep updated rather than fall many versions behind and have issues trying to catch up at that point (trust me, I just had a major issue with a Polisy update that wasn't being maintained along the way).

I would suggest you keep the device up to date than ignoring the update notices. I certainly can understand a hesitation of updating a big release on day one, but beyond that I think it would be wise to keep the system updated as best as possible.

Typically the 1st step in troubleshooting if you need help would be to bring the system up to the current release state.

Well, yes, there are reasons, including:

* lack of time, between family and new job;

* I've seen that some people have had some issues with the polisy upgrade, and I don't have the time to do it, or troubleshoot an upgrade gone bad.

I'm on 5.8.4 ATM, and not having issues, so I want to put it off to a time I have time.  And not happy getting reminders 3 times a day, including middle of night.

It seems that the only way to stop the upgrade messages on UDM is to disable PG3 notifications, which also probably kills the plugin connection notices as well.  Wish there was more control over which messages could be suppressed...
