Extreme Newbie Questions

OK, I purchased Polisy long ago as I was interested in trying out plugins and add some new capabilities to my ISY.  I was able to install a few nodes on the original node server and tried out HarmonyHub, FlumeWater, NOAA, Nest.  I never got any real functionality out of these and could never find any good POLISY 101 Documentation.  Then as time went by and ISY was being moved to POLISY, I became intimidated to move from my old ISY to POLISY.  Finally, when it was announced that there would be a cost increase for the portal if we stuck with the old ISY, I figured it was time to update.  Still having difficulties migrating to my POLISY and seeing the new eISY get released, I then purchased the new hardware once again.

I am now on eISY and have been for a while but am still at a loss for POLISY.  I have these old POLISY nodes running (or maybe not running) that I cannot figure out how to uninstall.

Then there are some new Plugins that I just installed that I really wish had better documentation on what their capabilities are.  Anyway, if anyone can help walk me through how to delete all of the unmanaged plugins from a long time ago shown in the attached picture, that would be helpful.  If there is basic documentation around plugins and how people have used them I would also be very interested.

Thanks

There might be more than one way to delete plugins, but the one I know is by going into IoX ->plugins ->configure. then pick the slot group and then plugin you want to delete. The configuration screen will come up, and click on "dlete" at the bottom.

What does unmanaged mean?

PG3x loads plug-ins into an IoX slot, IoX has 100 slots available to load plug-ins so you have have upto 100 plug-ins installed.

When PG3x starts, it queries the IoX to see what plug-ins are installed in which slot.

If PG3x sees a plug-in installed in a slot but doesn't have a corresponding database entry for that plug-in in that slot, it makes the assumption that a different version of PG3 installed the plug-in and is managing it. Thus this PG3x is unable to manage that plug-in.

This likely happened during a migration.  Those plug-ins were migrated to the eisy IoX, but they are still being managed by the PG3 that was running on the Polisy.

There are 2 ways to delete those:

1) as @Guy Lavoie says, go into the eisy admin console and delete them from the IoX.  This is probably the easiest way to handle it.

2) you could run PG3 on the Polisy, if it's re-configured to use the IoX on the eisy, it can then delete them. In theory, this should work, but I'm not sure if the latest IoX supports installing/managing plug-ins from the Polisy.

Thanks guys.  Got the old ones deleted.  As for the unmanaged, in the picture above, all of the plugins I wanted to delete say "Current Status: unmanaged"
