Techman Posted Monday at 10:15 PM Posted Monday at 10:15 PM What device are you trying to add Are you using the IoX Launcher to access your Polisy Are the other insteon devices in your network dual band? What is the address of the device you're trying to add Under link management, when you click on "NEW INSTEON DEVICE" and add the device address xx.xx.xx what happens? Quote

paulbates Posted Monday at 10:39 PM Posted Monday at 10:39 PM How old is your plm? If you're not sure, there's a sticker on the back with four digits, post those digits Quote
mjohnson007 Posted Monday at 10:44 PM Author Posted Monday at 10:44 PM I found another device as I thought tat was the lastly one I had and tried that and it worked fine so I guess that dimmer is a dud sad as it's out of warranty as bought it years ago. Thanks for the help Quote
Techman Posted Monday at 10:56 PM Posted Monday at 10:56 PM @mjohnson007 Take a close look at the device address, sometimes the 8 and the B can be misread. It happens a lot. 1 Quote
paulbates Posted Monday at 11:13 PM Posted Monday at 11:13 PM Also factory reset the one that won't add, sometimes that wakes them up Quote
Guy Lavoie Posted yesterday at 12:57 AM Posted yesterday at 12:57 AM (edited) Try factory reset as suggested by Paul. Also try manual linking, by going into (IoX): "Link Management" -> "Start Linking", then go press the link button on the device. Another thing: I've had that disappearing dialog box when trying to add a device. It turned out that...the device was already existing in my device list. it doesn't tell you that it already exists, the box just disappears. Edited yesterday at 01:09 AM by Guy Lavoie 1 Quote
