Questions after update to IoX v.6.0.0

When I log into eisy on PC I am now asked to login using my Portial username and password. I am also getting an error popup window titled "AutoUpdate Status" stating "Failed retrieving product information". Any assistance or direction regarding these issues would be appriciated.

I'm getting the same on a polisy.

Same on eisy.

@bmercier is this a concern?

Same on Polisy before and after upgrading.

I'm wondering if this has something to do with  https://192.168.xxx.xxx:3000/dashboard and https://eisy.local/pg3/dashboard Polyglot 3x access. Where are the directions/instructions to fix this (if it is the issue)?

What are you seeing?

Fyi I lost PG3 access and logged a ticket. UD said do the upgrade and see if it resolves.

I haven't upgraded and I'm seeing it.

Just logged into the admin console again (without rebooting) and I did not get that error message.

Athlon, just logged out and back in and I did not get the "AutoUpdate Status" stating "Failed retrieving product information" error. I am stil having to login using my portal username and password. Is this login an issue or is it part of the v.6.0.0 update? Any comments are welcome.

And getting this when looking for nodes....

The login with portal credentials is expected.

The auto-update, I'm not sure.

Once I reset my password and logged in all of my nodes were present.

Yes I see that, thanks @bmercier

Btw, the update to 6.0 went very well and the new UI looks great.

Also btw the PG3 Dashboard error I was getting was resolved by Logging out the Logging in again.

I see a socket timeout error that I'm not sure about.

Aside from that everything is working fine.

@bmercier

Thanks for that. Michael's update email seemed to imply the new UI is available to Polisy users. Is that the case?

EDIT: Never mind, I see that it is!

Can you PM me your uuid? I believe it was just a matter of timing.

I am running on Polisy, not Eisy. I can access the new eisy-ui on http://polisy.local and that allows me to view programs, but not edit them. How do I edit programs now? The IoX finder via start.jnlp doesn't find the 6.0 IoX any more for me.

Thank you!

Now that this is officially released, I thought I'd at least give it a try on my lab rats. I have two Polisys (or is that Polisies?) that I use for testing. On the first one I tried, the upgrade seemed to go through, but the version was still 5.9.1 and the OS was still 14.1. So I logged in by ssh and watched the upgrade process (tail -f /tmp/udx.upgrade.log) and relaunched the upgrade in admin console. It was failing due to the filesystem being full. Interesting. using the unix "df" command showed that the zudi/ROOT/default filesystem had 6424805 blocks, and the heading indicated 512 byte blocks, and was full.

Ok, so I sshed into my other Polisy to compare. That one has 25621361 blocks, and the heading is for 1K blocks. Makes a lot more sense for a 32 GB SSD. So I logged into Admin Console on that one, launched the update...and it worked. 6.0.0 in all it's glory! And on a Polisy!

I finally got to take a look at easyui. It will take some getting used to... but I can get a feel for it and learn, and keep up with the new releases before making the actual plunge with my eisy. It certainly is "dark" mode. Hopefully we'll be able to customize the look at some point.

Back to the Polisies (or is that Polisys?) I'm mostly posting this for others who might try it. The one that shows a much smaller filesystem size is one that I restored using rufus and an image file that UID sent me. Rufus seems to detect and leave existing filesystems in place, only restoring the contents. Both Polis...whatever have 32 GB SSDs, so I wonder if the filesystem setup or configuration was ever changed. The one that failed is an older unit, and it's Unit ID (MAC address) is lower. Anyways that would be the subject of a separate discussion, or if anyone has a thread or other hints on how to set it up.

Just a hint for anyone else with a Polisy that's trying to install eisyui and runs into a similar problem.

Corrected link: http://polisy.local/

(I removed the extra . (period).)

The new UI is there for me as well. Thank you for posting this.

As for my IoX finder - it's working fine. You may have to manually 'Add' the address for your Polisy.

IoX finder still works for me (also a Polisy), but looks a bit different now when logging in.

I am also getting this. After I changed my password, I saw the nodes show briefly with a moving blue horizontal bar for a few seconds flashing as if it was still loading, but then it reverted to the HTTP 404 error.

Same here

The IoX finder didn't work by itself when I hit refresh; it would remain blank. I could launch the IoX by manually adding the Polisy. Once I did that, subsequent IoX Finder launches do actually discover the Polisy by itself. IOW, it's all working normally again. Thank you for the help.

Assuming you are using the portal userid and not the old IoX user Ids?
