Numeric Values after Updating IoX6.0

Featured Replies

@Jimbo.Automates ,

Not sure if this is an issue with UD Mobile or Elk plugin, but after updating to IoX 6.0, UD Mobile is displaying numeric values for certain fields, including Armed Status, Arm Up State, Chime Mode, Physical & Logical Status, as well as some others.

I have synchronized, rebooted eisy, and synchronized again with no change. Please see screenshots.

Thanks for your help.

I just updated to IoX 6.0 as well and ran into the same problem. I use the Alarm system status (Disarmed, Armed, etc.) in my Favorites to show the Armed status of the system and it use to show the status as Armed Away/Armed Stay/Disarmed/etc. Now it only displays a number. This problem would be solvable using Advanced Status except there is no way to do a comparison against the number value that is returned.

See how I did it from the attached screenshot.

Okay, that fixed it. Before 6.0 I didn't need to explicitly set the displayed text in Advanced Status.

Thanks for the response!

Sure . that's a work around.. BUT WHY DO WE NEED ONE?

this has been a known problem since late October. It fixed itself for a while and then broke again with the last updated.

And NOTHING works right if you are remote... no zwave status, lots of Insteon blanks...

I am sorry to say, but I am reaching the conclusion that UDI has bitten too much too fast and when they fix one thing or add a new feature / complexity, they break something else.

I am running out of time to do "work arounds" and will keep waiting of fixing, imploring UDI to stop advancing until they are stable again.. It's been 2+ years of instability on all fronts.

How do I get to mapped values on UDM?

Bring up the device you want to map, tap on the three dots at the top right, and select "Configure Advanced Status Color, etc". You'll get the mapped values screen.

The Mapped Status problem seems to be fixed in IoX ver. 6.0.3. Once I did this update and restarted the affected Plugins everything is back to normal.

Funny, beginning sometime in the last few days, suddenly ELK is reporting actual statuses vs numbers again in UDM..So they must have fixed something on their end, as I haven't done any updates on purpose, but dont know if the UDM app on iPhone did an automatic update or not.

Progress for LOCAL. connections.

Remote connections also fixed ELK status, but Z-wave devices and about ¼ of my Insteon devices still dont report statuses automatically.

When I go to Add then equals I do not get the same options you get (like disarmed and armed away and armed vacation). I get type of alarm, like fire, burglar and so on.

Are you on armed Status?

Hi Dennis,

I go to Home screen, Home (my area 1), hamburger, Configure, then Add...then 'if value is null' change to equal to, Then under equal to I have All the different alarms listed. but no armed status.

What you are seeing would be normal.

You would need to follow the wiki instructions to create a Favorite. On the favorite page, click the + sign to create a favorite with a custom name. For example, Elk Area 1. Next go down to Display Node and navigate to Area 1. Now move to Display Status and select Armed Status.. Then it Save in upper right.

Once this tile is created, you can then follow directions from my post above to add mapped values.

To get full benefit from UD Mobile, most create a Favorites tab and add custom tiles for items we want to monitor or control regularly. It also provides quick at a glance of what we want to see and status, if you add color changes based things like on/off, temperature, etc.

There is ample information in the wiki for UD Mobile on how to add Favorites and custom tiles.

@JSchumann In addition to the above on favoirites, I have created folders that link to other pages of favorites: Sprinkler system, or thermostats, or weather info etc. This is my main page.. the blue items are folders that take me to other favorites.

Its pretty powerful, but again, BACKUP after changes.. I have lost many hours when things have "disappeared " as UDM is being developed.
