For all of the devices in my UD App, I have to hit Query to see the current status. Is there a way to make that refresh automatically when I open the App? Thanks

To rephrase, when I open the UD Mobile app the status of all 20 of my devices are not current so I must manually query each device for which I want to see the current status. Same applies on the “Devices and Scenes” screen. It may show a device as On when I know in fact it is Off, and the “Devices and Scenes” screen will not update until I open the device and query it.

Have you tried a Synchronize in UD Mobile.

In the home screen, click on the 3 dots in the upper right.

Yes I have tried that, but after synchronizing I get the same result when other device states change.

This is a known problem and had been going on for a few weeks now.

I have not heard a fix is out yet.

@Javi any update? Over ½ my favorites still dont populate and elk and iaqualink are still only reporting numbers vs words.

We firmware release coming soon which corrects most if not all of the issues with 6.x.

I don't think this is the same issue referenced above. The above issue is not status value, this appears to be devices not updating status values.

What is your firmware version?

I am using 5.9.1. I have actually been having the problem which I originally mention in this thread for several years.

This is not normal behavior, and if it has been happening for years then not related to the UDM app.

Is this only some devices or device types (i.e. zwave, insteon)?

Does it also happen in the Admin Console?

I have only Insteon devices. No, in the Admin Console all of the device statuses are always shown in real time correctly.

So when you open the app are the status blank or incorrect?

If incorrect, please run an additional test by swiping app from recent apps (remove from memory), then open again. Are the status values still incorrect?

Ok, I updated app on phone and iPad to 6.0.0 then I:

• swiped up to delete all running apps then

• Manually turned on a couple switches then

• Opened the UD Mobile app

• Then in “Devices and Scenes” screen it showed both of those switches as still off

• Then I opened each switch from the DS screen and had to hit Query for it to show the correct status

• Then on the DS screen it showed the proper On status of the two switches

Ok, then it is not the app. If you swiped from recents the app will no longer have any status values, they are all cleared.

When the app starts again the values are observed (Subscription Event), so the values you now see are those that have been saved in eisy.

Sending query, queries the device which then reports to eisy, eisy then forwards this message (Subscription Event) to the app (in the same way it received the initial status). So if the status is updated on query and shown in the app then the app is working as intended.

My guess is the error is likely the Insteon Modem or the Device not reporting status updates. To be sure you should check if rest/nodes/nodeAddress shows the status correctly.

P.S.

If you updated firmware to 6.0.0 there are reported event issues. please try again after the next firmware update coming in a few days.
