NodeDefList Error after 6.03 Update

Featured Replies

I receive an error when synchronizing UD Mobile after updating to IoX version 6.03. I get the message:

There are no items in the NodeDefList. Family:Node_Serversinstance: 1

I'm using UD Mobile Version 1.52

I have tried reinstalling the app, restoring from backup, rebooting the controller with the same results. Any suggestions?

Otherwise it seems to be working OK

thanks for the quick reply. Is node server in slot one the first entry in the main tab in admin console? It's labeled Notification controller and under that UD Mobile. In the xray it says family instance 2 not 1. I'm not sure if I'm looking in the right place. You will have to excuse my lack of expertise.

I have the same versions of app (android) and iox and am seeing the exact same issue, except I see .....Node_Serverinstance: 2 in my case. All of my node servers show the correct number of nodes when I open polyglot, and they all work (seemingly) normally. All the devices show up in the app just fine, but every time I try to sync it get that same error. Never seen it prior to now.

The message is due to NO node definitions found for the Plugin Slot Number (instance). Synchronization changed in the last few versions, So possible there is a bug somewhere.

new Synchronization should be much faster. Requires at least 6.0.3 if on Firmware 6.0.x.

If there is a functioning plug-in that slot, and synchronized on 6.0.3 or greater please open a ticket so we can investigate.

I'm not sure you are in the right location. While you can check plugins within UD Mobile, it might be best to use eisy ui. From the menu, select Pluging, Dashboard.

That will open the dashboard for all plugins. Check slot 1.

I think I'm in the right place now. Under Installed Plugins it says:

  1. Notification - Managed by another polyglot instance

  2. Notification - Started

Could that be the issue? How do I fix it?

I think I fixed it. I went to the plugin store and reinstalled Notification in slot 1. Now the sync shows no error in UD Mobile. Thanks for the help.

Unless you intended to have 2 instances, the one not linked to any of your programs should be removed.

I'm still getting the same error after the latest UDI mobile updates (Android). IoX is v 6.03.

I get this on Sync: (which is pretty slow)

Requesting Nodes for: Device 0. Error: There are no items in the NodeDefList. Family: Node_ServersInstance: 2

I have the "RainMachine" irrigation plugin in slot 2. I've uninstalled it, re-installed (same slot) with same result.

Through the Admin console the nodes are all there, and function properly, show status (though kind of slow to update) etc...

In UDI mobile, the nodes show up but you can't do anything with them - no status is shown, no "start" or "stop" etc... All you can do is edit the name of the node it seems.

Thanks for any help in getting this figured out.

Please update to 6.0.4.

Sync should not be slower, but there is less info is shown in progress, so current process remains longer.

Manual delete of eisy Node Properties databases may be required. However a firmware upgrade usually fixes this also. If not fixed by 6.0.4 please open a ticket.

Updated to 6.04 - same issue. During sync it pauses for about 20 seconds at "Getting Firmware Profile Files" before throwing that error.

Sorry, but could you give me the short version of opening a ticket - it's been awhile. Thank you.

I have the same exact issue, tried the same remedies noted above with no success and logged a ticket.
