I created a "Favorite" to run a small program to turn on a fan for one hour. When I open my Favorites page I see the icon for the program. If I tap it the properties page for that program are displayed. If I click the back arrow to return to the icon (without changing anything on the properties), now there is a small circle in the top left corner of the square. If I tap the icon again, it runs the program and the circle turns solid blue (i.e. meaning "on").

I would prefer to be able to just tap the favorite and run it, without having to go through the properties display each time. But the little circle doesn't appear when the favorite is first displayed. Only after I open Properties and close it again.

Is this the normal behavior?
