application won't be supported on future MACOS

Featured Replies

I haven't upgraded to the latest MACOS yet, but today when I went into Admin Console, I got a message on the mac saying that this application won't be supported on future MACOS releases. ( i think it means the JAVA application.) Does anyone have any information on this?

Are these older Intel MACs?

If yes, my understanding is that there's no go forward for these devices for Mac OS. Java is letting you know they can't support that dead end. There continues to be Java for newer Macs.

So if you're staying where you are with your Intel Mac, you can carry on, knowing Apple and Java consider that HW arch to be end of life.

No, it's not an older Intel Mac, I have an Apple silicon M1 Pro. I am getting the same message for other apps too, Apple will stop supporting any app that was designed for the Intel Mac, the apps currently work because Apple translates them with their Rosetta app. I don't know when this will happen, all I want is to be able to create and modify programs without Java, so I'm hoping the IOX web app will do this soon.
