Michel Kohanim Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Hello all, I am happy to announce the availability of our 3.1.1 release! For a list of changes, please take a look at this post: viewtopic.php?t=6015 Things to test: Variables! Developers: updated WSDL and Schemas For a discussion of variables, please look at the new Program Variables forum viewforum.php?f=68 Notes: 1. ISY-26 is no longer included in the firmware builds 2. Due to the sensitive nature of supporting MorningLinc, users now must agree to terms and conditions upon Admin Console start up otherwise the dialog keeps popping up every time the Admin Console is started 3. IMPORTANT If you have already installed a self signed certificate and your current firmware is 2.7.10 and below, you must reinstall a new one before the upgrade: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... rtificates Instructions: 1. Please backup your ISY (File | Backup ISY) 2. io_guy Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 "Return variable definition via REST (for variable names)" Does this mean the variable name is supposed to be sent over REST? If so, it's not working for me. Still just getting value, init, and last changed. Quote
Brian H Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Installed fine for me. Only thing I noticed was the module status was blank until I closed the program and restarted it. Quote
Rod Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Upgrade went well and the variables in notifications are awesome. I have run into an odd problem. When selecting variables in programs, the pull down list shows the full list of variable names repeated a few times. I rebooted the ISY to see if that would help. After doing so, the 9 variables I had were repeated twice (total of 18 entries in selection list). I then renamed one of the variables and then got three sets for a total of 27 entries. The renamed variable is correct in the final group but the old name is shown in the first two groups. Each time I rename a variable, I get a new group added to the list. The work around is to select from the final group and all seems fine. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted March 27, 2011 Author Posted March 27, 2011 Hello io_guy, No and specifically for performance reasons we have separated static information (such as name) from operational information such as the current status of the variable. Please do be kind enough to peruse the latest Developer's Guide: http://forum.universal-devices.com/view ... 6480#46480 And specifically, /rest/vars/definitions/ on page 60. Hi Rod, Would you please ensure that you have cleared your Java cache and retry? With kind regards, Michel Quote
io_guy Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 And specifically, /rest/vars/definitions/ on page 60. That's perfect. Thanks Michel. Quote
Rod Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Hi Michel, I ran the test you suggested (clearing the cache) and the results were the same. Once again it started with two groups and adds a full group each time a variable is renamed. Cheers, Rod. Quote
wwat Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I have the same problem as Rod, variables display twice in program drop down list. Java cache was cleared twice during install as per instructions. Regards, Quote
wwat Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Another problem I noticed is if you rename the variables and save. Then navigate straight to the programs drop down list, the old and the new variable names are listed in the drop down. Quote
andyf0 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Installed fine. I did have a couple of lights turn on when the ISY rebooted but otherwise all is good. Edit: Something to do with the Catch-Up scheduling? Quote
thruster999 Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Since upgrading I have not been able to adjust LED Brightness Levels. I tried re-installing, and the issue still persists Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 Rod and wwat, Thanks so very much for the feedback. Working on it. thruster999: LED brightness levels for what types of devices? With kind regards, Michel Quote
nstein Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I have had this problem for a few versions now. Program is disabled, and not set to run on startup. On startup it not executing like intended; However ISY is evaluating its condition and setting it to true, which isn't ideal in my situation. Is this intended? Thanks, Nick Program: If Program 'Sound Arriving' is False And Program 'Sound Leaving' is False Then Resource 'Capture Drive' Resource 'Intercom Driveway alert idd' Wait 30 seconds Run Program 'Sound Identified' (Else Path) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Quote
thruster999 Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Hi Michel Basically all my devices Dimmers Dual Band dimmers And toggles Thanks Quote
Chris Jahn Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Hi Michel, I ran the test you suggested (clearing the cache) and the results were the same. Once again it started with two groups and adds a full group each time a variable is renamed. Cheers, Rod. Thanks Rod, This is a bug, and is fixed in the next build. The problem was that the selection box was not being cleared before being repopulated. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 Hi thruster999, Thank you. It's confirmed to be a bug and shall be fixed in the next release. Nick, Are you saying that the state of the program is set to true because the conditions are both false? If so, I do not think there's any way out of it since programs are either true or false. If not, elaborate a bit please. With kind regards, Michel Quote
nstein Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Michel, Yes it is setting it to the right state on startup. The question is if a program is disabled and not set to run on startup, is ISY supposed to set the state on startup? In a previous version I think it started at false and stayed there. Sounds like the first, in which case there is no problem and I will re-write things. Thanks, Nick Quote
Vipola Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 How much Time before V3 become a Release Version? a few week or many month? Thanks Quote
iostream212 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 I haven't messed around with my ISY programming for a while so I can't confirm if my issue started with this 3.1.1 beta or not. I couldn't set the ramp rate on my lamplinc, I have not tested other types of switches. I set the rate to 9 minutes for testing purposes, it shows 9 minutes on logout/re-login, but when I turn the device on it is instant. This was both through the browser and locally. Thanks. Quote
andyf0 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 I think you're going to find that 9 minutes doesn't work on newer version LampLincs. Try 8 mins, that should work! This thread may provide some info http://forum.universal-devices.com/view ... c++minutes Quote
iostream212 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Thanks for the tip andyf0. I tried backing it down to 21.5 second ramp rate, but still no changes to the actual ramp rate both locally and through the browser. I will try to reset the module when I get home and see if it'll respond then. Thanks! Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted March 31, 2011 Author Posted March 31, 2011 Hello Vipola, We are hoping to include ELK in this cycle so I would assume it's going to be in months. iostream212 ... I love your signature. I feel the same! As andyf0 suggested, please try 8 minutes. With kind regards, Michel Quote
