oskrypuch Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Nasty thunderstorm yesterday. Afterwards I found that the system was largely farkled. Although I could manually trigger devices from the admin console, they didn't want to run otherwise. Also, most if not all inputs are being ignored, in particular the 2420s that rely on ISY processing to trigger outputs. I can also trigger devices locally, I have not found anything that has been damaged otherwise. I am wondering if the PLM link table is corrupted, or maybe the PLM is partially fried. Would it be logical to try a factory reset on the PLM, and then do the PLM|Restore to see if that will get it working? If that doesn't work, I am thinking that a replacement 2413S might be in order. * Orest
LeeG Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 oskrypuch I would try a few things first. Unplug the Access Points for a few minutes as well as the PLM, restore power and see how things are running. If devices can be manually controlled through the Admin Console the basic PLM function is intact. When many devices do not signal status changes to the ISY the link table in the PLM is suspect as a common point of failure. A File | Restore Modem (PLM) will rewrite the link table. I suggest doing a factory reset of the PLM before doing a Restore Modem (PLM). Lee
oskrypuch Posted August 26, 2011 Author Posted August 26, 2011 The factory reset and PLM restore fixed it all up, to my tremendous relief. * Orest
Michel Kohanim Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Orest, I would not be as relieved! Is is possible to get a PLM replacement as soon as possible? With kind regards, Michel
