Michel Kohanim Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Hello all, I am happy to announce the availability of our 3.3.1 (Beta) release! For a list of changes, please take a look at this post. This is a major release with many changes to the underlying INSTEON engine as well as HTTPS (for 994) and, as such, please do be kind enough to report any anomalies. Know Issues - REGRESSION: Cannot add multiple buttons from the same KPL in the same scene Things to test: - IOLinc options - FanLinc options - TempLinc/Thermostats - I2CS MorningLinc - ELK at startup - HTML emails 994 - SSL/HTTPS Important Information 1. Important Brultech module is no longer supported on ISY99 Series. Please contact sales@universal-devices.com for options 2. Important If you have a 994, you will need to re-install a certificate. Please review ISY994 Series Advanced Network Security Configuration for more information. 3. Important We have removed SSLv2 support (very insecure) from ISY994. Unfortunately, the only protocol supported by MAC with Java 1.6 is SSLv2. As such, you MUST upgrade your MAC to Java 1.7 (Software Update) 4. Please note that Safari does not support SSL session reuse and thus might take an exorbitant amount of time to communicate with ISY. As such, when using 2048 bit SSL, it's best not to use Safari. 5. If you are using the Irrigation Module and are upgrading from releases prior to 3.1.5, you must edit the programs using Irrigation variables and save the programs again. Irrigation module is no longer on promotion 6. Upgrading from 3.1.3 and below: If you are using WeatherBug Module's Rain Today in your programs, please note that the precision has changed from 1/10 to 1/100 and thus your programs might not run properly 7. For a discussion of variables, please look at our Program Variables forum. Instructions: 1. Please backup your ISY (File | Backup ISY). If you are backing up a 3.1.6 system, please note that the backups are corrupted. If you have a backup from prior releases, you should be OK 2. Please download the firmware for your platform - please do not unzip ISY 99i Series ISY 994i Series 3. Login to the Admin Console and choose Help | Manually Upgrade [the name of your system] 4. Choose the file saved in step 2 5. After the upgrade, ISY reboots. Please do ensure to clear your Java Cache 6. IMPORTANT Once upgrade is completed and ISY reboots, use any of the following methods to access your ISY's Admin Console: a. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin - applet --- Security Warning: Due to recent Java security problems, it's best to always use method #d b. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin.jnlp - Java application c. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.3.1 - applet --- Security Warning: Due to recent Java security problems, it's best to always use method #d d. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.3.1/admin.jnlp - Java application Best method to access Admin Console Dashboard - not fully supported - http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3. ... board.jnlp 8. Please backup your system again Thanks and with kind regards, Michel Quote
Nuttycomputer Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Perhaps it is just me but the download link for the firmware is just forwarding me to the sales page. Quote
elvisimprsntr Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Just curious why the brultech support had to be removed. Quote
Brian H Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 The ISY99i download link does go to the sales page. The ISY994i link does get you a download file. Quote

Brian H Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Maybe fifteen minutes ago. I got the ISY994i file. Just now the link for the ISY994i also goes to the sales pages. Now both are broken. Quote

Nuttycomputer Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Downloaded and upgraded. No problems yet. I am curious regarding the FanLinc options and if anyone has a guide on what does what. This is what I show listed: Program Lock RF Enabled Resume Dim LED on TX LED Backlight Key Beep All show unchecked by default it appears. Remoted into system at the moment so don't have ability to test on site yet. Quote
Tunaman Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Downloaded and installed on isy99i. Can report that I can now have KPL and remotelinc 2 both in same scene, and that KPL LEDs do respond to remotelinc 2 keypresses. Also, fanlinc backlight option now turns off the red LED which was always on before. Not sure what the other fanlinc options are for, that will have to wait for another day. However, not sure is this is a feature or a bug, but I can no longer have multiple KPL buttons in the same scene. I have a KPL that i'm using as a timer of sorts, and before (on 3.2.6) I was able to have all buttons in scenes, but now I get an error message if I try to add multiple KPL buttons to the same scene. KPL is a 2487S Dual Band KeypadLinc Relay v.40 Quote
LeeG Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 tunaman Is the KeypadLinc button a Controller in another Scene? If so Insteon allows a button as Controller in only one Scene. Can be a Responder in multiple Scenes. EDIT: I see what you mean. I have Scenes with multiple KPL Relay DB buttons. The KPL Relay DB drives my FanLinc Motor through the 3 speeds and Off. Was working at 3.2.6. Quote
Xathros Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Downloaded and installed. I can no longer access via HTTPS tho HTTP is just fine. Any attempt to access remotely via HTTPS results in: XML Parse error: https://my-url.org:443/desc Followed by: Socket Open Failed Java.lang.NullPointerException I have cleared all the browser and Java caches, deleted all of the old certificates and accepted/trusted all new certificates. -Xathros Quote
Tunaman Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Each scene had only one button ad a controller, and all other buttons in that scene were responders. Now I can't have even one button from KPL as controller and a second button from same KPL as a reponder. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
LeeG Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I confirm the change. No idea why the restriction as it worked okay at 3.2.6 for my FanLinc Motor control. Quote

I can still connect with Mobilinc remotly via https so I'm puzzled as to why I can't get the admin console (or the Dashboard) working. -Xathros Quote
ISYhbsh01 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 What's the Templinc mentioned in the "Things to test"? Is that the Insteon thermostat? Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 Hi Xathros, Have you configured HTTPS with other protocols such as TLS? If so, you MUST make sure that: a. You have Java 7 b. You have the latest UI (Help | About) TLS protocol is only supported fully in Java 1.7 (unfortunately). Just to test, please use Chrome and go to https://your.isy.ip.address, click on proceed, and then click on the lock icon next to the URL. Please send the screenshot to support@universal-devices.com. Hi tunaman/LeeG, verified that this is indeed a bug. Hi hbsh01, yes, TempLinc is a SmartHome labeled (not Venstar) thermostat. With kind regards, Michel Quote

ISYhbsh01 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Hi hbsh01, yes, TempLinc is a SmartHome labeled (not Venstar) thermostat. Is that the Insteon Thermostat Part # 2441TH, or the Insteon "Wireless" Thermostat Part # 2441ZTH that had just been released? Thanks. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 Yes. With kind regards, Michel Quote
ISYhbsh01 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Yes to which? 2441TH (Insteon Thermostat for $149) or 2441ZTH (Insteon Wireless Thermostat for $79)? Thanks Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 Both. With kind regards, Michel Quote
