I am going to be persistent here and still would like to know how to debug this. Maybe Michel can answer that ?

Of course I can spend 5 bucks to get prowl and whatever I need, but for me this is principle now ;)

Thanks everyone

Hi guys,

Based on their documentation, the mode MUST be URL Encoded.

I really do not know what else to try. Perhaps their server (HTTPS) requires client certificates. Or, perhaps they require higher level of security. If you have a 994, perhaps changing the strength to high might help:

Apart from the above, I really do not know what else could be contributing to this issue. Wireshark (not LiveHeader) traffic log would be quite useful.

With kind regards,

Michel

The main reason for me trying to get this running is money as this service including the iPhone App is free.

Can you give me a few links for the alternative ? Or did you mean what is already documented on the wiki here http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... tification ?

Stephan

Hi Stephan-

Yes. Prowl is what that wiki link describes. This is what I'm using and I have been very happy with the results so far. The iPhone app is $2.99 and the service is free. It has the added benefit of a growl plugin so if you use growl, you can have some/all of your growl notifications forwarded to your prowlapp on iPhone/Android.

It also supports priority (-2 through +2 for 5 levels). This way you can have a do-not-disturb configuration where only the highest priority notifications will alert at night - also allows for different audio alerts depending on priority.

Prowl also uses https but no authorization other than your APIKEY. I have quite a few network rules already written for prowl and can share the settings if you need. The Wiki article does a good job of explaining the setup already.

Hey Michel,

I am more than happy to get wireshark, but how can I get wireshark to pick up the traffic? The only way I know is to define a proxy on the device that makes the request, which would be the ISY in this case. I have been asking multiple times in this thread how to do this but never received an answer.

Is there another way I am not aware of ?

As soon as I have this information I provide you with the traces.

I have the capture now. Do you want me to post it here ?

Also since this is HTTPS to notifo.com the data on the wire is encrypted and I don't have the notifo.com secret to decrypt.

Not sure if that is still helpful this way. Figured I ask before hand ;)
