  1. Get this error when I try to add a new device to Google Home Spokens. Any Idea why? HTTP error 400 : Device cannot be added to the spoken database
  2. Unfortunately I was one of them. I thought it would be wonderful. Open hardware (Raspberry Pi) and open source software. Beautiful. Then there was the short lived Policy, PG3 and node servers with no source and no tangible support commitments. My wife is severely disabled and has come to be dependent on home automation to give her some degree of independence. Unanticipated change is not desirable. Hence my diligence.
  3. As to your first question, I mean let us see the license terms before I even try it. Basically I trying to figure out if is worth while moving from my ISY and PG2 to the Polisy I have owned for almost 2 years and PG3 (which has already been replaced by the EISY) versus moving entirely to Home Assistant. Don't really want to invest in the move until I've assessed fully the costs and benefits for my particular situation. I think this is reasonable.
  4. Is this license available for review before you purchase or use the node server?
  5. Perhaps the developers should provide some statement of support expectations in the table so users could decide if it seems adequate for their needs. Then there is no expectation mismatch. Is it safe to assume source code for node servers in the production store is not provided? Somewhat concerned that a developer might get pulled away or disappear. Could there should be a mechanism for the source to be made available after some period of time if the this should happen.
  6. This is awesome! A few questions. Mainly for someone at UDI. Any thought of adding ratings and/or node server reviews to this table? What is the formal difference between production and non-production stores? Are there any guarantees that node servers in the production store will be supported for a reasonable period of time and changes to the third party API will be supported promptly? Just want to understand what I'm signing up for. Was not happy when I couldn't move to PG3 when a couple of node servers I was using weren't available during the transition from PG2. Currently running Home Assistant in parallel to gain access to these. Paul PS Love the Solution Tag UDI has added to threads!
  7. Outside of the actual PG3 Node Server store, is there a table of available node servers, support level and price? Considering finally moving from PG2 to PG3 versus other options. Thanks, Paul
  8. Use another Yolink valve to dump the pressure tank into a convenient location after you turn off the water to the house. I use one to dump water from the pool if rain over fills it.
  9. @Michel KohanimDidn't really expect one, but you might want to fix the landing page from the email that says you'll get one if you log in. Cheers, Paul
  10. Got notice that they were available in email. When I logged in to order it said some sort of discount was applicable if I logged in. Did that, but no discount. @Michel Kohanim Am I missing something? Best regards, Paul
  11. Perhaps, but nobody on this forum or at Universal devices was able to find point me to it.
  12. Not true. I had the same problem with one of my systems. Went on for months. Only solution was to upgrade my ISY when an upgrade became available. Paul
  13. @Goose66do you plan to port this Node server to PG3?
  14. The speaker can say multiple phrases or recordings of your own voice or other sounds that can be tied to multiple triggers. I'm am stuck on PG2 since one of the node servers I need to move to PG3 and use the yolink Node server hasn't been ported.
  15. I have my yolink speaker sitting next to a google home device. I use it to initiate google broadcasts of various messages throughout my home. I imagine it could do anything a google home voice command can.
  16. Glad to hear I'm not the only one that feels this way. Really liked PG on Raspberry Pi. Reluctantly bought Polisy, but haven't had the courage to move to IoP, even though the node server I'd really like to add only runs on PG3, while at least one that use heavily hasn't been ported from PG2 yet. Thought about Home Assistant in the past and with both of the integrations I'd like to use being available, maybe it's time to take the plunge.
  17. Well it turns out my changes to the switch were coincidental to another issue. Turns out my cottage, in Canada, is part of a nation wide internet outage on Rogers. This home also uses Google home and an ISY. It was the first installation and @Michel Kohanimsuggested I try changing my preferred ISY to current location from it. It worked! Nothing to do with the insteon device change. Thanks @Michel Kohanim!
  18. Been using Google Home with ISY since it became available. A few minor issues in the beginning, but stable for at least 4 years. Today I had to replace an Insteon Switch that had failed. No replacements available so I took a switch that was largely unused out of a 3 way light circuit and used it. The switch that failed had a spoken in google home. I deleted it and replaced it with a new spoken for this replacement switch. When I uploaded to Google home it told me the old switch was deleted and I added this one when it appeared with no room association. Now nothing works. Google home says "Offline" to all my ISY devices. Have tried rebooting the ISY, re-uploading the spokens and deleting this replacement switch in the spokens. No dice. Help! Please. Paul
  19. This might be overkill, but if you have a weatherflow tempest weather station and use the Node server, you get real time access to both LUX and W/m^2.
  20. Has anyone else noticed that John Xu (https://www.linkedin.com/in/john-xu-452b1b197/), the founder and CEO of YoSmart (YoLink) is a former Insteon Design Engineer. Looks like he figured out what not to do while he was there.
  21. Hey @Panda88, Thanks for working so hard on this Node server! The yolink stuff is awesome. The LoRa connections are really robust and battery life is so much better than the wireless tags I used previously. I have an outdoor motion in the end of my dock some 400' from my hub and it works great. The latest addition of the speakerhub creates so many interesting possibilities. Have a look at this video where I use it to trip a broadcast on my google home devices triggered by a motion detector on my driveway. Looking forward to other devices they create. Thanks again, Paul Forgive me for hijacking the thread a little. Just wanted you to know you work is greatly appreciated!
  22. Any update or advice on when Venstar may be available for PG3? Hoping to move to PG3 to access an additional Node server that never existed in PG2. Thanks, Paul
  23. Maybe you could put something like this under the flooring. https://www.banggood.com/4pcs-DIY-50KG-Body-Load-Cell-Weight-Strain-Sensor-Resistance-With-HX711-AD-Module-p-1326815.html?utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=cpc_organic&gmcCountry=CA&utm_content=minha&utm_campaign=minha-ca-en-pc&currency=CAD&cur_warehouse=CN&createTmp=1&utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=cpc_us&utm_content=nolan&utm_campaign=aceng-pmax-ca-roas-20220402-nolan&ad_id=&gclid=CjwKCAjwgr6TBhAGEiwA3aVuIUov8z7TYLlXPV52zzGLiT0ep514D7bCUlSajAlt6BQKuRaI_4B74RoCb1sQAvD_BwE
  24. I agree. Love their new Wifi 6 access points! Have a couple of homes using USG's and manage them both with Gen 2 cloud keys.
