@Michel Kohanim the link downloads the admin console from Polisy and works but using the launcher (https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp) does not work for local access.
-
I did the auto update and I got the admin console does not match the firmware error. Cleared Java files and downloaded the start.jnlp file again and retrieved the admin console directly from Polisy but it did not help. I also did sudo pkg update && sudo pkg upgrade and rebooted manually multiple times but can only access using the (cloud) option of the launcher. The good news is my Z-Wave Sensative door and window strip is reporting properly now!
-
In my notes I have to start over sudo pkg remove isy sudo pkg install isy sudo service isy restart
-
@Michel KohanimI added another Z-Wave device but it is not functioning properly https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LWMTUI8/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_5?smid=A1O77D5UJY7IVU&psc=1 Nodes on ISY <node You might want to try restoring ISY from your most recent backup that might help with the busy screen but I did not test it before I uninstalled ISY then installed it and restored my backup.
-
I did the update but mine was stuck in a system busy loop that would not go away. Then through the command line I removed ISY and Installed it, I wanted to start over from there but I can never get ISY to have a portal tab in a fresh install state so I restored my backup and everything is back to where it was. I added 1 Z-Wave device and it is working fine so far. I want to just switch everything over but my the weird error log I'm getting has me concerned and I also have issues with node servers at times. ISY994i Z-Wave Alexa Google
tazman replied to WayneUrso's topic in New user? Having trouble? Start here
You can setup a routine in Alexa and control it from a variable in ISY as a motion detector. -
If you right click on your device under the zwave menu there is an option to add a button press node that might give better status.
-
Thanks @Javi I will look into that but probably will not be until the weekend. I will post if I get it working.
-
Well thanks for trying @Javi I guess I will try @kewashi but he does not seem to be around and this is beyond my abilities. It just seems really weird that it works with 994 but not Polisy.
-
@JaviI was unable to install the app on my phone but I could try other phones if it will help. I downloaded a new version of housepanel and started from scratch to make sure it was "clean". I put one of my Insteon devise back to ISY994 and the status works for that device I can control the one on Polisy but does not change status when operated from outside unless I refresh. The housepane log had this in it when starting V2.418 on 11/2/2021 6:50:16 PM Connection failure to ISY socket: Error: Expected a Sec-WebSocket-Protocol header. wshost: ws://192.168.0.30:8080/rest/subscribe header: { 'Sec-WebSocket-Protocol': 'ISYSUB', 'Sec-WebSocket-Version': '13', Origin: 'com.universal-devices.websockets.isy' Then looking at the developer tool it flashed this error so quick I had to video it and take a screen shot from the video

Thank you @JaviI can check the Chrome log when I get done with work this afternoon. I do have an android phone I would just need direction on what app you are referring to.
-
@JaviI put the port number after the ip:8080 and it grabs the devices and I can add them and control them but they do not show in housepanel when they are operated by outside sources.
-
Unfortunately I'm not fluent in these technologies but I managed to get my system going with help from this site. I can see that housepanel makes it's subscription and it says it's marked as reusing the connection. I can control the devices using housepanel but it does not update the state in housepanel when it is operated outside of housepanel after housepanel was started. Housepanel is running on a Pi and worked fine with ISY994. I appreciate everyone's help with this.
-
Yes kewashi would be the man but for it to be working then I switched over to ISY on the Polisy and it does not work seems to me something is not right now or it might just be that it's different now and without kewashi changing something it will not work. I jus figured since we are in testing phase it is best for this to be known.
-
I understand and I am just putting my experience out there. It seems the Insteon part is working well and the supporting features are what need to be worked on and I hope my observations help find some of the bugs to get a good finished product.
-
I might have jumped to soon but I moved all my Insteon product over to the Polisy. I'm using Housepanel with my ISY to display the status of everything in my house. It seems with Polisy Housepanel does not receive the updated state of the devices but I can still control the devices. Does anybody know if REST Subscriptions should be working the same? When I do the /rest/subscriptions it shows housepanel connected and marked yes for reusing. Anyone have any ideas?

Reading my post again I see I was not clear on the fact that I'm talking about the occupancy node server that is available through the portal! @DaveStLou since my original ISY is still using the polyglot node servers I can't look into those node servers at this time. To be honest I do not need this working right now but I'm just trying to see if this is a bug since we are still in the early stage of testing with this.
-
I have 5.1.1 running for ISY on my Polisy and started moving some devices over that don't tie into node servers or my Z-Wave devices and they are working fine. I tried setting up the occupancy geofence in the portal but I can not get anything added for Polisy. I was able to configure the node server connection and performed the node definitions upload but after the ISY services reboot it still shows nodes definitions not installed. When I try to add an occupancy geofence it says node server not configured. Has anyone ben able to get this working? Thanks Tom
-
@Michel KohanimThanks as usual you are the man! I at least have the AC up and running to play with now.
-
This is what I get when I run that which I did not know to do before. [admin@polisy ~]$ sudo service isy start Password: Setting permissions for ISY directories/files udx is running as pid 1133. you can disable uftdi driver by adding isy_load_uftdi=NO in /etc/rc.conf kldload: can't load uftdi.ko: No such file or directory /usr/local/etc/rc.d/isy: WARNING: failed precmd routine for isy
-
I got my 2413U and finally got around to try ISY on Polysi but it will not install for me but seems like there is a problem where the isy pkg is being hosted??
-
Polisy has become musical when rebooting. Is this normal?
tazman replied to gviliunas's topic in Geek Batch
I upgraded and got the MagicHome error but my led strips seem to be working fine. -
The second article in your link says But Sidewalk isn't just for your outdoor lights and other smart home devices: It's for everybody's gadgets. If your neighbor uses a Sidewalk-enabled mailbox sensor that's in range of the Sidewalk bridges in your home, that sensor may very well use your network to connect to the cloud. I agree it is not suppose to share your information but I think it does use your internet data for other peoples devices.
-
That is not what I understand from the article I linked above. Amazon says the maximum bandwidth of a device on the Sidewalk server is 80 kilobits per second, or about 1/40th of the bandwidth used to stream a typical high-definition video. The total monthly data used by Sidewalk-enabled devices, per customer, is capped at 500 megabytes, which Amazon says is equivalent to streaming about 10 minutes of high-definition video.
