In my opinion Google is your best friend with HA! I don't know how to code and I get all my information from Google sometimes needing to follow multiple guides and some stuff just doesn't work for me.

An update with all the "issues" I have seen I put in a ticket to get information on my path to get my Eisy setup to boot from the NVMe and HA installed on it again, @Michel Kohanim told me all the scripts and information will be updated next week so I will wait for the updates and hopefully have a smooth transition to getting it all setup again. Just to be clear my Eisy is running fine wit HA on the NVMe and I just want to change so the Eisy uses the NVMe for everything for the enhanced performance.

If I have time tonight I will give that a try thanks!

I noticed pasting the script from the website it was cutting the #!/bin/sh remove_emmc_ out of the beginning for some reason so I used ee to create the file and that did not cut off the beginning but I get the same results. @Michel Kohanim do you have any idea why when I run the script it just returns to the next line and does not seem to do anything?
-
Did you try ./setup_nvme_boot.sh When I run that it goes to the next line but nothing happens.
-
@hart2hart thanks for the help before chmod 700 setup_nvme_boot.sh -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 4517 Feb 11 14:39 setup_nvme_boot.sh then -rwx------ 1 root wheel 4517 Feb 11 14:39 setup_nvme_boot.sh after chmod +x setup_nvme_boot.sh -rwx--x--x 1 root wheel 4517 Feb 11 14:39 setup_nvme_boot.sh But still just goes to next line I think there has to be something wrong with the script because it goes to the next line. Or maybe because my NVME is already setup not sure.
-
I thought the .sh file did that Once the file is saved, make sure you update its permission: chmod 700 setup_nvme_boot.sh Run the script Type: sudo -i This way, you will be running as root. So, be very careful! Once done, type: ./setup.nvme.boot Wait for the process to complete!
-
I did and it returns to the next line but does not seem to do anything.
-
Well I threw all caution to the wind and tried to perform the action but I can not get it to run. I created the file with vi and when I perform ./setup.nvme.boot I get ./setup.nvme.boot: Command not found. Maybe once it is included in the next udx release it will work for me.

I'm not following everything you are saying you want to do but if you want to control one of the small buttons of a keypad with a program you have to put that button in a scene then turn the scene on and off from the program to have it reflect the state you want. I hope that gets you on the right track for what you are trying to accomplish.

I saw that today and thought it would have been nice to do this when we first added the SSD drive!
-
I knew it was coming, I lost connection yesterday after I rebooted Eisy.
-
Try to reset the device and perform a restore from ISY.

Have you tried your portal credentials?

I think this could be done with a micro on/off module mount the module in the panel power it off of another breaker and run the control wire to the breaker you want to monitor then write a program that notifies you when the module is turned off. My disclaimer is I have never used an on/off module and this is just idea and I have no way to verify it will work but maybe someone with more experience with this device can verify it will work.

Scenes only work with local control for devices. You should be controlling the scene when controlling remotely if you want everything to stay in sync.

I was able to get a 1 TB for $70 at a local Bestbuy but if you are not a developer or use the eisy for other stuff I'm sure 128 G would be more than adequate considering if I'm reading the script for HA properly it only takes 16 G. The SSD needs to be set-up according to the link then the HA script uses a portion of the drive to create the VM. That is my understanding of it all.
-
Thanks @xKinggreat work! @Michel Kohanimwhen I operate an Insteon device from HA it shows almost instantly on my mirror which is a separate RPI running Housepanel so the eisy is handling the input from HA operating the device and sending out to Housepanel.
-
Install went good the new ip showed up in less than 5 minutes in my router! The dashboard is very responsive and everything looks good. Thank you @Michel Kohanimawesome job as usual from the UDI team!
-
I have the SSD setup and ready to go once you give the GO to try the install!
-
https://developer.isy.io/blog/NVMe Shows installing it inside and setting it up in the operating system. @Michel Kohanim can I setup the SSD drive with 1 partition and the VM will handle the size of the file system needed for the VM?
-
I have installed and run HA on a RPI but I am not the most technical person but did manage with the documentation out there for HA. I would be willing to buy a NVMe M.2 SSD and put it in my eisy to test if you are looking for people to try it.

You are welcome @tmorse305

I think you need to reinstall after you added the feveloper package for it to install properly.

You need to load the Universal Devices Lighting Controller onto the Harmony remote and as you press each code command on the remote it should be recognized and added.
