Ya, my pfSense doesn't require IP address. I will try placing a test PC on the same switch as the IoP and then trying WOL from it, also will try my other WOL program and pfSense to see if it traverses back through to that switch and wakes up the host. I will also try app on my laptop and plug in and see if wakes up my other PC. This will help rule out if my switches are at fault.

The Polisy is on the same subnet, but not on the same switch as my PC. I believe is issue with the switch IoP that it is connected to not rebroadcasting after its ARP table, or dynamic forwarding table clears.
-
Yes this is was concern... not really an issue in for the majority of the time, but there should be a way to access if it is a locally run device and not rely on cloud login. Sure the services it uses rely on cloud infrastructure like polyglot store for initial polyglot purchase but after they are purchased and installed I think we should be able to login locally.

Hi, recently I noticed when I go to my PG3 web page it asks for authorization to external isy.io portal website. I would expect that the only reason this would happen is if I wanted to browse the Node server store and install new Node server. For regular day to day logging in why is this needed?

I have it working, I had to make some changes to my Network Driver in Windows 11. Pretty much this in case anyone else is interested. https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?101283-Wake-on-LAN-not-working-from-shutdown-Asus-Deluxe-Z170 I also have WOL app tested working now on a VM on my HP server which works. I also have WOL setup in my pfSense router. However, after a couple hours while I went out and came back, WOL is no longer working through IoP and Node server. I can however still use the Windows app on my server to WOL my desktop, and can use WOL on my pfSense router. The only thing I could think of is that my IoP is connected to a different switch downstream from main switch, where my server an pfSense and Desktop are connected to... maybe the WOL doesn't broadcast the MAC address of my Desktop correctly from the remote switch. To test this, after failing like a half dozen times, I started my desktop and ping the IoP IP from my desktop, this updated the switch's ARP table to learn the MAC address of my desktop, then shutdown desktop and then try IoP WOL right after and it works!!! Therefore some issue with broadcasting WOL over multiple switches in my case! I will look into this maybe this is limitation of WOL.

I did something similar, and I got past the relay state by querying it after every button press which would update its state in ISY and it seemed to work - but the relay still could never be used to trigger a program or scene because it could momentary flip on with any button. I also disabled direct control of relay and used a program that would turn the relay on when it detected the button press. This would seem to work good but every once and a while it would get into a race condition turn on/off - think an issue with how Z-Wave is done on ISY (I have experienced this in simple scenes with two z-wave Zen71 on both IoP and ISY). I ended up returning it... a used keypadlinc is a better investment. I required the physical relay to turn on/off a local light and the buttons to act as controllers for other devices in room - if IoP was offline I needed the physical switch to work still.
-
The Zen32 looked like a promising device but is crippled by firmware. If Zooz can update the firmware to have on/off states for each button, AND not have *EVERY BUTTON* turn on/off the relay status with each press, then it would be a great product.

See this thread I explain... Also, I have not been able to do OTA firmware using this method as a secondary controller - I have to use a separate stick eg. exclude from IoP, using separate stick on PC include and uncheck the S2 options while including. I can however use to setup basic scene associations - see further up a bit in that thread. This will all be obsolete with new z-wave/matter board coming soon.

Can you add the Dimmer Switch parent Node to the scene as a controller instead of selecting the ones below it?
-
I tried this and didn't work, but not sure if my PC is working correctly to do a WOL. However, I noticed that if I enter a MAC address eg. 11:22:33:44:55:66/192.168.10.10 (mac address is just and example here) It only lists the first 5 vales: Is this just cosmetic/normal due to node naming limitation?

@asbril, how did you get version 5.53.103? I have tried updating mine and latest is 5.52.301 Edit... forget that, I was not logged into the software so it went through the motions of updating but was offline only. I logged in and have that version now.

Click the Gear icon in upper right and select your USB stick.

I have two and always used 10 with no issues. After upgrading latest firmware I use 7 on my garage opener and both are working fine.

Support thread for: ISY on Polisy (IoP) v5.4.4 (May 25, 2022)

Yes, not sure about popcorn response with multiple devices, but I have used the Silicon Labs Z-Wave PC Controller to set basic associations with Z-Wave devices that will run independently of a controller and it is very fast. See this thread and all my significant testing/conclusions are at the end - where it died off and seemed nobody else showed anymore interest. For some reason, ISY/Polisy doesn't allow setting basic associations for common wall switches which I tested (Zen71, Jasco) but these in fact do support basic association when testing using the PC software. It is a Z-Wave standard but maybe it is difficult to implement directly in ISY, however, it seems the ISY does other associations, just not Basic Set (Group 2 in most devices). I would be happy to have an association tool in future Polisy instead of than having to use an additional S2 dongle and PC. Currently I haven't used this feature myself yet beyond testing, because I have mostly Insteon, but there is one room where I plan to setup a virtual 3-way using Z-Wave this would be perfect for. Here is direct link to my post. -

Z-Wave basic associations still not fixed/working in this update. I am hoping with new Z-Wave board etc. there will be a utility to do associations. -
I discovered that if I query the respective "Access Control Alarm" then it also queries the Barrier node.

Mine does the same.. I think the term "grayed out" is meant to be non-clickable/selectable. If this is the case then there is no BIOS update available. If you can Enable TPM then you have latest BIOS. Make sure you don't lose password, or wait to enable when this is required. You can always disable the TPM again but not sure of the consequences have to reset besides the warning of may not be able to restore backups - maybe has something to do/is a requirement for Z-Wave security and Matter down the road? -
@oskrypuchI see the Window Alarm nodes show on/off and also seem to update on query. I have learned to like the open/close node response instead of on/off though I am going to power cycle the zen17 on my garage door when I get home and see if it sends signal to ISY on restart. Not a huge deal for me because my program that checks for garage open > 1 hour will not run because it looks specifically for "open"... I suppose there could be some case where power goes out while door is open etc... so maybe I will change program to use the windows alarm node.

I noticed that when set for input type 7, the new nodes ZW XXX.1 Barrier and ZW XXX.2 Barrier do not update on query from IoP. The only time they update is when the sensor is physically changed eg. closing/opening the contacts - in my case opening/closing the garage door. It is supposed to recover state from power failure, but if Polisy also reboots then it seems that IoP will not get updated until the door state is changed - not even with the 3am query program. On my other Zen17, using the input type 10, query works on the Binary Sensor nodes as intended and the 3am query program picked up the state of my unused Binary Sensor as Off. Anyone else have this issue?

Great news! Please sign me up if you need testers for Z-Wave Will the new software continue to work with the Zooz dongle or is the plan to only make it work 100% with the new dongle?

I just upgraded both my Zen17 to latest firmware and reconfigured on the Polisy. One of my Zen17 uses input type 10 on both of its inputs. Its purpose is to sense when my septic lift pump runs using an AC sensor. It has been working fine and even after the update - eg. I can short a paperclip to it and turns on/off. My other Zen17 is for garage door and I decided to try input type 7 this time and I like it better - because it shows door open/closed instead of on/off (when my door was closed it showed on with input type 10, now it properly shows closed). Here are the instructions I used to set garage opener... For Garage Door --------------- Will hook up the switch and the sensor on separate sensor/relays just in case the isolation is not set correctly. Reset Include in ISY Set for Door Open/Close sensor Set Parameter 2 to 7 Set Parameter 3 to 7 Exclude/Include in ISY This will add additional nodes for each sensor Set Parameter 10 to 0 Set Parameter 11 to 0 This isolates the relays being triggered from the inputs Garage Door Sensor (Sensor 1) ZW XXX.1 Barrier 1 Garage Door Switch (Relay 2) ZW XXX.2 Binary Switch To set simulate momentary 1 second Parameter 8: auto turn-off timer for Relay 2 Parameter 17: auto turn-off timer unit for Relay 2 Set Parameter 17 to 1 (seconds) Set Paramter 8 to 1 (1 second) *** must use 4 byte to write Parameter 20: Reverse the reported values for your selected input on S2 C terminals (select same value as parameter 3 eg. 7) (not reversed set to 0) Closed on Sensor 1 will show door closed Set Parameter 20 to 7 if your door sensor switch is NO when closed.

Nice so I can actually show my garage door is open now correctly. I’ll get the firmware and get later.
-
Maybe dev could add some more virtual device types like ones with low med hi etc.
-
The devices will be on the stick. Just inbox and try the update - not sure If the update will work or not like that however. backup stick reset do firmware update then restore Or get a second stick. see my topic elsewhere here about firmware fun.
