  1. You don't require MobiLinc to get Alexa to talk. What it MobiLinc does is auto-creates spokens using the field in ISY AC. In order for Alexa to use routines, it has to be a Motion or Contact Sensor (not sure if any others work). You can also add like an ISY state variable from the portal, pick motion or contact sensor, and put in some random spoken (which isn't really used because we want Alexa to talk to us), and then Alexa app will see that new device and then you can place into a routine. Using variables you can then trigger Alexa to talk whenever you want. However, does MobiLinc X work with UDI Portal or do you have to get rid of that and use MobiLinc exclusively? I have not paid attention to it since they came out with MobiLinc X... I had purchased their regular and HD versions along with plugins in the past, but their high subscription turned me off... I think they have a direct connection version now but still not really interested.
  2. @epete Here is how I do it... In this case I have Chandelier which is the actual Dimmer with light/chandelier connected to its load. I have following program that detects the status change and then sets the other slave dimmer to the same level. Only need one variable to hold the Dim Level. Chandelier - [ID 004D][Parent 0033] If 'Entrance / Chandelier' Status >= 1% Then $Dim_Level_Temp = 'Entrance / Chandelier' Status Set 'Entrance / Chandelier Slave' On '$Dim_Level_Temp %' Else Set 'Entrance / Chandelier Slave' Off This program sets the SwitchLinc dimmer to proper dim level. Requires a temp variable to hold the status and set it. If you want to adjust keypad LED, I first make a scene only containing that that particular Keypad key as responder, in this case KLA: The reason for this is because you can only turn on/off Keypadlinc LEDs via scenes. Then a program.. Kitchen Table - [ID 0034][Parent 0033] If 'Kitchen / Kitchen Table' Status >= 1% Then Set 'KPL Sync LED scenes / KI Kitchen Table KLA' On Else Set 'KPL Sync LED scenes / KI Kitchen Table KLA' Off
  3. Nope. Need a usb zwave stick and pc. Polisy is planned to do OTA support with a hardware upgrade.
  4. Hi, thanks to Linus Tech Tips, Jasco is now releasing firmware for some of their Z-Wave products. https://github.com/jascoproducts/firmware Here is the original video... typical with Linus et al jumping into something "winging it" without planning and knowing exactly what they are doing, but that's his style LOL. Turns out his issue was something else and did not need the firmware, but as a result he got Jasco to change their policy, which is good in case any future firmware is needed.
  5. I hope there is a way to transfer the node servers to a new Polisy in case of hardware failure/replacement, or if a new version of Polisy comes out in future and replaced existing one.
  6. I found that disabling query devices on startup resolved this for me while troubleshooting. Can re-enable later after your restore is done.
  7. Hmm, I have 2.6.3 and upgraded this morning but not sure if that was a package that was updated, but did not experience any issues... I just checked updates again now and seen this... is this safe? Edit... I went ahead and still works fine!
  8. @johnnyt It is in the same Administrative Console in IoP. You are comparing Polyglot web page to the Java ISY/IoP administrative console. Is what you are asking is a way to backup the PG2/PG3 portion of the Polisy other than the IoP portion? Here it is... but you already say you found that so not sure what you are asking. Here is in my IoP, exact same as ISY994i
  9. What they need to do is license the design of the switch/paddle so other companies can make them... eg. Zooz, Jasco etc. My opinion is that there is no other switch in this DIY market of HA that has the nice feel of an Insteon switch. Imagine purchasing a Z-Wave switch that feels like an Insteon SwitchLinc Relay with removable/replaceable paddle etc.
  10. I just did updates using ssh this morning and there was no IoP or PG3 updates... only a few bsd packages which I can't remember. I rebooted entire Polisy and I can still login PG3 and AC. I would suggest opening a ticket.
  11. I am not sure if development has stopped on the PG2 version but you are more likely to get better support with PG3 version. You can run PG3 along with PG2 so I recommend you install Notification for PG3. I had some issues at first but I have it figured out now and there is discussion in the pushover forum under PG3... there are recent enhancements from the developer that make it even easier to send messages all through IoP with customizations subject field, even supporting variables - with no need to enter them on the PG3 web interface.
  12. When you start including Z-Wave devices on the polisy, they will start at ZW 002 (controller is 001), and increment each time. It is nearly impossible to line up the numbers the same because of gaps and one is bound to get errors and have to exclude/include a device multiple times in order for a device to work - eg. Door Locks are picky, Zen17 requires you to re-include after setting certain parameters etc. After restoring to Polisy, if you happen to include "new" devices that share an old ZW XXX then your existing programs will see it and think it is the old device and this can be confusing. Currently the best way now is to do a complete Audit of your existing system, make a spreadsheet or something of old numbers and new numbers then go edit all programs and scenes.
  13. Ya, my pfSense doesn't require IP address. I will try placing a test PC on the same switch as the IoP and then trying WOL from it, also will try my other WOL program and pfSense to see if it traverses back through to that switch and wakes up the host. I will also try app on my laptop and plug in and see if wakes up my other PC. This will help rule out if my switches are at fault.
  14. The Polisy is on the same subnet, but not on the same switch as my PC. I believe is issue with the switch IoP that it is connected to not rebroadcasting after its ARP table, or dynamic forwarding table clears.
  15. Yes this is was concern... not really an issue in for the majority of the time, but there should be a way to access if it is a locally run device and not rely on cloud login. Sure the services it uses rely on cloud infrastructure like polyglot store for initial polyglot purchase but after they are purchased and installed I think we should be able to login locally.
  16. Hi, recently I noticed when I go to my PG3 web page it asks for authorization to external isy.io portal website. I would expect that the only reason this would happen is if I wanted to browse the Node server store and install new Node server. For regular day to day logging in why is this needed?
  17. I have it working, I had to make some changes to my Network Driver in Windows 11. Pretty much this in case anyone else is interested. https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?101283-Wake-on-LAN-not-working-from-shutdown-Asus-Deluxe-Z170 I also have WOL app tested working now on a VM on my HP server which works. I also have WOL setup in my pfSense router. However, after a couple hours while I went out and came back, WOL is no longer working through IoP and Node server. I can however still use the Windows app on my server to WOL my desktop, and can use WOL on my pfSense router. The only thing I could think of is that my IoP is connected to a different switch downstream from main switch, where my server an pfSense and Desktop are connected to... maybe the WOL doesn't broadcast the MAC address of my Desktop correctly from the remote switch. To test this, after failing like a half dozen times, I started my desktop and ping the IoP IP from my desktop, this updated the switch's ARP table to learn the MAC address of my desktop, then shutdown desktop and then try IoP WOL right after and it works!!! Therefore some issue with broadcasting WOL over multiple switches in my case! I will look into this maybe this is limitation of WOL.
  18. I did something similar, and I got past the relay state by querying it after every button press which would update its state in ISY and it seemed to work - but the relay still could never be used to trigger a program or scene because it could momentary flip on with any button. I also disabled direct control of relay and used a program that would turn the relay on when it detected the button press. This would seem to work good but every once and a while it would get into a race condition turn on/off - think an issue with how Z-Wave is done on ISY (I have experienced this in simple scenes with two z-wave Zen71 on both IoP and ISY). I ended up returning it... a used keypadlinc is a better investment. I required the physical relay to turn on/off a local light and the buttons to act as controllers for other devices in room - if IoP was offline I needed the physical switch to work still.
  19. The Zen32 looked like a promising device but is crippled by firmware. If Zooz can update the firmware to have on/off states for each button, AND not have *EVERY BUTTON* turn on/off the relay status with each press, then it would be a great product.
  20. See this thread I explain... Also, I have not been able to do OTA firmware using this method as a secondary controller - I have to use a separate stick eg. exclude from IoP, using separate stick on PC include and uncheck the S2 options while including. I can however use to setup basic scene associations - see further up a bit in that thread. This will all be obsolete with new z-wave/matter board coming soon.
  21. Can you add the Dimmer Switch parent Node to the scene as a controller instead of selecting the ones below it?
  22. I tried this and didn't work, but not sure if my PC is working correctly to do a WOL. However, I noticed that if I enter a MAC address eg. 11:22:33:44:55:66/192.168.10.10 (mac address is just and example here) It only lists the first 5 vales: Is this just cosmetic/normal due to node naming limitation?
  23. @asbril, how did you get version 5.53.103? I have tried updating mine and latest is 5.52.301 Edit... forget that, I was not logged into the software so it went through the motions of updating but was offline only. I logged in and have that version now.
  24. Click the Gear icon in upper right and select your USB stick.
  25. I have two and always used 10 with no issues. After upgrading latest firmware I use 7 on my garage opener and both are working fine.
