I believe if you right click on the device and select "restore device" it will remove links applied locally.. that said.. I don't think you've properly factory reset device from 2477s manual... Factory Reset Factory Reset clears all user settings from SwitchLinc including INSTEON scenes, X10 addresses, etc. Pull out Set button to create an air gap See Air Gap (Removing Power). Wait 10 seconds. Press and hold the Set button. SwitchLinc will begin to emit a long beep. Don’t release Set button until beeping stops. Release Set button After a few seconds, SwitchLinc will double-beep. The Load/light(s) will turn on. LED will return to default brightness Jon...

You need to port forward http and https ports used in ISY for your router. Either post your router make and model or use this guide to help. Jon...

The link provided was to the last firmware update for 99i. If you read over the initiating post you'll see instructions and links to both the firmware and the UI. Once you're able to access ISY you'll need to install and I recommend you reformat the SD card and not put anything on it but let ISY load the firmware. The UI doesn't go on ISY but is used as a client to ISY. As for troubleshooting, you should be able to tell something by the front panel led lights. Are there any lit and what is the sequence you see when ISY boots? Jon...

If you're unable to see ISY in your router it's possible it was set with static IP and/or it's damaged being you purchased it used (ebay?) To factory reset follow the Wiki instructions. If you can obtain the ip address of ISY but are unable to login you can telnet and change credentials. Jon...

I'm uncertain of the entirety of the problem (and resolution) but you might check this thread.. apparently the Mac application is for ONLY for MAC 10.6 Jon...

I'd check to ensure you have the same UI version as Firmware version (Help > About in admin console) and also run the java application rather than the applet. what OS are you on? Jon...

I don't have elk and I'm not clear about the issue but seems you could assign state variables to each zone and monitor that state including a wait period. If Elk Area 'House' 'Alarm State' is Burglar Alarm and s.ElkZone_1 is 1 or s.ElkZone_2 is 1 Then Wait 6 seconds <<-- whatever period is required to clear the alarm Set Scene 'Scenes / Downstairs Lights' On Send Notification to Email 'Prowl' content 'Alarm Zone Violated' notification would include ${<variable name>}. something along those lines... When using Devices in echo rooms first try fails 100% of time?
jerlands replied to Scyto's topic in Amazon Echo
Changes were made with the Portal that allows 4 alternate spoken names (see under Tools > Amazon Echo and select a spoken name) and for some reason existing names were duplicated. Another way to remove them is simply select "Forget all devices and groups" in alexa.amazon.com Jon... -

Go to http://alexa.amazon.com > Settings > Connected Home and look at your device list. Delete all those that are duplicates and grayed out if any. Jon... -
Try rebooting ISY by removing power for 30 sec and plug back in. Jon...

I'd also like to know the ins and outs of this... Insteon devices like motion sensors, thermostats, keypads, and remotes have nodes that address the different functions of the device. How does multi-channel differ? Edit: did a little browsing and found the following... 0x60 Multi-Channel/Multi-Instance The Multi Instance command class was renamed to Multi Channel in version 3. It is used by devices to distinguish between multiple control or reporting end points. Not sure I understand "multiple control" or "reporting end points" but at least it distinguishes it for me from nodes Jon...

Your best bet for fast response is to contact UDI support directly with the request and include your ISY uuid (Help > About in admin console.) Jon...

There's an ongoing thread devoted to progressive dim where you might gain a little insight. Jon...

This sounds as though you're asking about Mobilinc Connect and not the ISY Portal and possibly you're using iPhone? If so there is a Mobilinc Forum where you might access Wes directly. Jon...

Sounds like you need to login to http://alexa.amazon.comscroll down to "Skills" and search for Universal Devices then Enable. Jon...

The 2412S supplies power so it's possible you've actually damaged ISY... you might try removing ISY from the PLM, unplug PLM, wait 30 sec. or so, plug PLM in then connect ISY. Jon...

What does the error say? If iRule works then I would say that's the correct code. You'll need to try different methods such as entering the raw string rather than the URC format (using commas.) Jon...

My take on this.. your first resource image (IRtoSerial) is instructing your WF2SL to send IR which it can't do so you need to develop the correct RS232 code for the resource. Jon...

To test your programs right click on the program and select "Status Icons > Detailed" then right click again and select "Run (Then)" and your light should turn on and you will observe the file turn full green indicating it's running then. Next, change your program to a time close to the present i.e., From 11:47 To 11:48 and you can observe the program run and status change and you should be able to observe the light turn on and off. Jon...

Post your resource. You may need to use URC format rather than the raw string (separated by comma e.g. 08,22,00,00,00,02,D4) Jon...
