Some Echo connected home voice commands suddenly not recognized...
jerlands replied to ahwman's topic in Amazon Echo
Tried two device commands and both almost instantaneous. Jon... -
I think Insteon devices consume about a watt each so 50 devices = 50Watts Jon...

IFTTT not talking to Portal? Portal not talking to ISY?
jerlands replied to Old Surfer Dude's topic in UD Portal
Not in the Portal but you can install the IF app on your phone you can see and receive notifications of IFTTT recipes run. It's actually common for IFTTT to take quite a while to execute action and 20 minutes isn't unheard of. A more expedient method of notification is either ISY email/sms notifications or network resources to pushbullet. Regarding your Echo errors.. Are you trying to set one up? Jon... -

There's a number of other sellers and also youtube videos but haven't found any that show in detail alignment. Also an instructable that's rather vague. Jon...

LED's can also cause issues but yes... that is the way. I use Cree (homedepot) without issue while others disagree so you might investigate a little (search the forum.) Edit: All my Cree's are the high end dimmable type (has the exterior heat sink) Jon...

CFL's are notorious for creating noise and interfering with Insteon comms. Pull them out then test again (doesn't even need to be anything in the socket.) Edit: Be sure to cover up the sockets when finished for safety. Jon...

I can only communicate with the ToggleLinc when the switch is at OFF. <<-- This may indicate the load on the switch is creating such noise that it can't communicate or (and far fetched) a wiring issue. What type of bulb is being used? Jon...

Other option is to c/o contacts with wider gap tolerances. Seco-Larm SM-226L-3Q is popular as it has both NO and NC contacts and 2 3/4" gap. Jon...

Also, I'm pretty certain a "Restore Device" should have restored PLM links if ISY's links were correct. Jon...

Glad to hear it's working but I don't see why only dimmers would be affected. If the system was down and no other modem was used then restore modem wasn't needed but shouldn't hurt if it were. Not certain what the cause of the problem was here? Jon...

Also consider a couple range extenders/lamplincs or on/off modules to bridge electrical legs and enhance communications. Jon...

I believe a restore device should re-write PLM links. You might try deleting and relinking (remove from all scenes and folders.) During your rebuild was the system down or did you use a different PLM? Jon...

This indicates no PLM link record. Did you happen to replace PLM recently? Try Restore Device and see if that helps. Jon...
