  1. If problem is widespread then I suggest looking for a sources of noise/signal suckers and install filterlinc @ outlet for all electronics and UPS. I prefer using range extenders (two of them) to enhance network as they repeat signals both powerline and RF. Jon...
  2. Poor comms can be caused by improper phase (electrical leg) coupling or by noise in the powerline. If switchlincs are dual-band you might place range extender/lamplinc/on-off module in vicinity but you should probably trace other devices to see it the problem exists only on the circuit in question or if it's widespread throughout your installation. Easy to do.. open event viewer to level 3 and in admin console turn on and off devices to see how wide the problem is. Jon...
  3. Hey Rob, Sorry to hear about your series of unfortunate events. Hope things get better for you! Anyway... First issue... ISY Skill not lined to Echo Profile... If you follow the Wiki instructions (bottom of page) and ensure your account is properly linked. Second issue.. IFTTT... again, Wiki instructions will guide you to creation of Event Name and how to implement Maker Channel in IFTTT A picture is worth a thousand words... I agree video tutorial would be helpful. Post back further questions. Jon...
  4. What devices are included in the scene you're adding it to? You might check your comms by opening Event Viewer to Level 3 and operating a few of the devices. You're looking for Hops Left=(x) where 3 or 2 = good and less = poor. Jon...
  5. I'm wondering about this? I haven't heard of or needed to disable the skill in order to configure Connected Home or discover devices? Granted, it's been a while since I enabled the skill (when it was first published) but I really think something else was the problem. Jon...
  6. You can export your entire "My Program" folder, then after you're up and running I believe you'd have to delete all programs and import. Jon...
  7. Glad to hear you got it working again and thanks for posting back the solution! Jon...
  8. That's a good deal! You should post that in coffee shop. Jon...
  9. Steve's video must be obsolete because "Notes" was originally used with the ISY Skill but changed when Connected Home was enabled. Jon...
  10. Ignore "Enable Internet Access [my lighting]" which is devised for UPnP router and which isn't advised to begin with Also, if you see in Help > About Internet Access is Disabled also ignore as this is related. You're already setup in the portal so either you're using DHCP (advised) or static. Jon...
  11. Here's the Wiki instructions for configuration. You might review the steps and see if it helps. You no longer use "Notes" for devices but rather in ISY Portal you add spoken phrases to devices/programs and scenes then ask Alexa to discover. Jon...
  12. The best is communication is indicated by Hops Left=3. Lower Hops Left=1 or 0 indicate poor communication. Led lights can create noise as they age or even as new. Electronics can also create noise and should always be filtered at the outlet they're plugged into. For me, CFL's were always problematic and so I replaced all of mine. Jon...
  13. Sorry.. just tested and the slider control for On level if set from the admin console manually sets the on levels either locally or programmatically so maybe this was the problem Jon...
  14. Well, comms still look good. The slider for On level control should be set to whatever level you want the light to turn on to when you press the toggle locally. This can also be adjusted in the admin console or through a program as in the following where the second line represents local control and the first line represents program control. On Levels Evening - [ID 00CA][Parent 006E] If From 12:28:00AM To 6:05:00AM (same day) Then In Scene 'Bathroom Downstairs' Set 'Light Downstairs BR' 20% (On Level) In Scene 'Light Downstairs BR' Set 'Light Downstairs BR' 20% (On Level) Else In Scene 'Bathroom Downstairs' Set 'Light Downstairs BR' 100% (On Level) In Scene 'Light Downstairs BR' Set 'Light Downstairs BR' 100% (On Level) What I have noticed is your network consists of 5 devices which doesn't necessarily make for good comms but you seem to be ok. You might post the programs you use to schedule the lights and maybe something can be seen through that. Jon...
  15. So communications on all devices look good at this time with Max Hops=3, Hops Left=3 or 2 I would think if the interference is from the meter it would be continuous. Do you have anything on the same circuit that might be inflicting some type of noise? Jon...
  16. Ok.. but you're turning on and off the scene. You need to go to each device that has issues and turn it on and off independently. Jon...
  17. Parlez-vous anglais? Jon...
  18. Yes, probably PLM... but I believe you have Event Viewer open to Level 1? You need to open it up to Level 3. Just click the drop down menu and select. Here's what a level 3 trace looks like for 2477d Wed 03/16/2016 07:54:11 PM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 38 03 52 0F 11 FF Wed 03/16/2016 07:54:11 PM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 38.03.52 0F 11 FF 06 LTONRR (FF) Wed 03/16/2016 07:54:11 PM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 38.03.52 30.6C.FB 2F 11 FF LTONRR (FF) Wed 03/16/2016 07:54:11 PM : [std-Direct Ack] 38.03.52-->ISY/PLM Group=0, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=3 Wed 03/16/2016 07:54:15 PM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 38 03 52 0F 13 00 Wed 03/16/2016 07:54:15 PM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 38.03.52 0F 13 00 06 LTOFFRR(00) Wed 03/16/2016 07:54:15 PM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 38.03.52 30.6C.FB 2F 13 00 LTOFFRR(00) Wed 03/16/2016 07:54:15 PM : [std-Direct Ack] 38.03.52-->ISY/PLM Group=0, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=3 Wed 03/16/2016 07:54:15 PM : [D2D EVENT ] Event [38 3 52 1] [sT] [0] uom=100 prec=0 Wed 03/16/2016 07:54:15 PM : [ 38 3 52 1] ST 0 (uom=100 prec=0) Wed 03/16/2016 07:54:15 PM : [D2D-CMP 00BD] STS [38 3 52 1] ST Converted values Event=0 Condition=0 prec=0 Wed 03/16/2016 07:54:15 PM : [D2D-CMP 00BD] STS [38 3 52 1] ST op=6 Event(val=0 uom=100 prec=0) != Condition(val=0 uom=51 prec=0) --> false Jon...
  19. Just noticed the time differences and possibly IR has nothing to do with it? Also not familiar with "mer." which should read as the day Wed? Edit: I see it's French. Jon...
  20. Ok.. I'll guess I'm not familiar with ISY IR but looks like you've linked a number of devices to transmitter buttons 3 of which seem to respond but 10.CF.11 doesn't? Which device is 10.CF.11? If you use the admin console and active 10.CF.11 on/off you should get hops left= Jon...
  21. No problem! Glad to hear you got it straightened out and thanks for posting back the solution. Jon...
  22. So this is Mac? I'm not familiar with it but here's instructions on how to change the icon for file or folder on mac (Restore the original icon for an item.) I really don't know if that's your problem but as it works issue seems only icon related. hope that helps Jon...
  23. Seems to be tied to a security setting... You might look over this page "Why are Java applications blocked by your security settings with the latest Java?" and see if it helps. Jon...
  24. You might see if you can change the icon.. right click > Properties > Shortcut Tab > Change Icon Jon...
  25. Sounds to me like you've associated .jnlp with java as you would with any file... right click > Open With > (this program?) Jon...
