Can't install smart home skill from Canada
Don't have that problem since using that web hack which allows your actual address to be used. I simply ask Alexa what is the weather and she spits it out. Its rarely used now because the system uses hyper local weather data from the Autelis Bridge & Weather Flow.

Can't install smart home skill from Canada
I'm not sure what the Canadian version is going to offer over the American one. Is it going to say *Eh* at the end?? Seems to be just another hobbled software product nuetured for the 51st State. The test I performed was on my iPhone so all the WiFi SSID's were present for selection. Unfortunately, once I selected what ever it simply got to 1/4 bar and stopped and then declared a error code. I gave up after more than five attempts but made sure the system was still fully operational using the old method. I had to unplug the Echo from power because it kept glowing orange and wouldn't time out.

Can't install smart home skill from Canada
LOL ~ What?!? The Amazon Echo was stuck on the WiFi portion of the setup process not the ISY Series Controller. I was curious to see what would happen and decided to open the Alexa Application which I rarely if ever use or open. To my surprise instead of it opening normally it opened up in a *Setup Mode* there was no method to bypass this. At this point I figured what the hell lets see what happens . . . Sadly, the system would not go past the step where the Amazon Echo needs to connect to the local WiFi network.

Can't install smart home skill from Canada
I tried moments ago to see what would happen to an existing install. The system just hangs on the WiFi portion and never completes and declares an error code. Based on your reply here I am not missing a damn thing so will continue to use the existing method in place. I'll roll the dice once the new Amazon Dots arrive on December 05, 2017. Let the games begin . . .

Random scene stuff not working
Can you be more specific as to what isn't working? ie. I have ten lights in a scene. Only five of them turn on when the scene is activated

Can't install smart home skill from Canada
The work around since day one has been to use the American smart application. This was coupled with listing the home using an American address. This was later fine tuned by using a web page hack which allowed the person to change that U.S.A address to a Canadian location. Doing that ensured when you requested local services the reply was geo located to your physical address. To be clear in iOS one needs to login to the American App store to download said smart application. I haven't even bothered to try the transition because everything works perfectly as is. Once the new (Canadian Dots) arrive on December 05, 2017 I will see how this new process works. I may very well enroll those new Canadian Dots using a different account in case there is some kind of limitation as there seems to be on everything Canadian!

Thermostat Status Display in Console
More specifically complete a hard reset and you can always just use *Restore Device* which doesn't lose anything. If that doesn't work complete the hard reset again and delete the device and add it back.

Thermostat Status Display in Console
NP, more specifically it talks about how if the Internal vs External sensor is used. I have to gather you're using the OEM internal thermister inside the unit. As a quick test bring the TSTAT to a Insteon dual band unit. Warm up the unit with what ever method you deem appropriate and report back if the ISY Series Controller reflects that change. If it doesn't you can try hard resetting it and add it back to the controller to see what happens. You have a 50/50 chance of fixing it or it remaining the same.

Thermostat Status Display in Console
Take a look at this thread which offers some insight as to how its supposed to behave: https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/9152-how-to-monitor-water-temp-via-isy-and-catch-more-fish/page-1

Thermostat Status Display in Console
The ISY Series Controller will only display the reading once the TSTAT has changed its state. If its plugged in the device will report its temp more frequently vs based on XX threshold. Lastly, if you ever reboot the ISY Series Controller that state is lost each time . . .

ISY994i and the portal
When you restore a 2413S PLM the system will automatically try to write to all Insteon hardware in the network. The system does not write updates in order or any particular sequence. So if you have lots of battery operated hardware the system will attempt to write those updates three times. It will of course fail because it won't be able to talk to any of them until such time as you place them into programming mode. But they need to be placed into programming mode one at a time . . . With the disable battery write it takes all the battery operated devices off line and just writes to the hardwired ones. Which saves time and loss of hair on your head.

The only other things you will miss out from not having the Pro is disable battery writes. You may upgrade anything at your own pace and user needs as it arises.

Wow ~ Beautiful church . . .

Foscam camera - extend power cable
The ISY Series Controller supports any camera system that has an open API to interact with via the Network Module. Viewing is solely dependent upon third party software on a computer / smartphone. That is not proprietary to the ISY Series Controller at all . . .

Foscam camera - extend power cable
If the wire is truly 16 AWG you will be fine to supply power to the cameras. Having said this using Foscam wouldn't be my first choice at all. If you're looking for true security, performance, and reliability you should be reviewing vendors from Axis, Avigilon, Bosch, Mobotix, Pelco, etc.

Starting over - Factory Reset?
It only makes sense to work with the resources on hand. If this is just a casual once in awhile task. A old cord and twist nuts are perfectly fine. When you're doing this sort of thing repetitively Wago or similar makes sense! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Starting over - Factory Reset?
A mix of the two as the Wago lever nuts are deceptively larger than a standard twist Marrette / Wire Nut. Depending upon the type and size of the JBOX the Wago can impact the amount of room you have in the box. I use them extensively on the bench and it should be noted one of the long time forum members Apols (sp) offered an improvement over the current test harness I use now. That is to place a switch in line so it would allow you to remove power with out the need to unplug the outlet. That is something I've done too on another test harness which really speeds up adding and removing devices when hundreds are in place.
