Could not upgrade from 2.7.8 to 2.7.9
jcip, Please do the following: 1. Ensure your firewall is not blocking ISY ( http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewforum.php?f=3 ) 2. Ensure that you have a good connection (especially if WiFi) 3. Reboot your ISY 4. Retry With kind regards, Michel

sunrise and sunset times are wrong?
Hello richard|007, Please try using your latitude and longitude directly instead of using the region. This will give you much more accurate sunrise/sunset times for your specific location. To do so: 1. Go to Configuration Tab | System 2. Click on Change Location and enter your own latitude and longitude With kind regards, Michel

Need Help: ISY 99 not responding
Hi endiablado, Ah ... I am so very sorry. The only way you can recover from a factory reset is restore. You can have ISY crawl your INSTEON network but, in my view, it would take much longer than doing it manually. Especially if you have 2.7.9 and PRO series in which case you can use the batch mode. With kind regards, Michel

Need Help: ISY 99 not responding
Hi endiablado, Can you now login to the Admin Console (i.e. do you get the Authenticate dialog)? Did you factory reset your ISY when you were having network issues? If so, do you have a backup that you can restore (File | Restore ISY). With kind regards, Michel

Need Help: ISY 99 not responding
Hi endiablado, Apologies for the inconvenience. If you have MEM/Err lights blinking, it means that ISY could not get an IP address from your router. I would make sure that ISY is connected to your router and that the cable between the two is securely connected. With kind regards, Michel

Programming for 2420M Motion Sensor / dual purposes
Hi wwat, All you have to do is to create folders for those times. If everything is based on time of day, then the condition for the times should be at the folder level and no other conditions should be set for each individual program. With kind regards, Michel

New Dual Mesh Devices
Hi Quixote, I would be the first one to commend SH for having the Dual Band PLM as it simply makes sense. This said, however, at the moment, I must say that I do not recommend 2413s for the following reasons: 1. We have not thoroughly tested it yet 2. It supports 1/2 the number of links as that of 2412s 3. In our lab environment where we have both, on the same configuration, querying the whole network (30 devices) takes less than 30 seconds on 2412s and more than 90 seconds on 2413s. In most cases, ISY has to repeat the same command twice before anything is successful With kind regards, Michel

SSL Certificate issue
Hi Tome, Please reinstall the certificate and let me know if it works. If it does not, then I would like to know why rather than just removing the default certificate: please send an email to support@universal-devices.com and we'll figure it out. Thanks and with kind regards, Michel

SSL Certificate issue
If you do NOT get ANYTHING at all, then perhaps you have changed the HTTPS port on your ISY. Would you be kind enough to go to Configuration/System tab and make sure HTTPS port is still 443? With kind regards, Michel No, if I try https://192.168.X.X:443 on a local machine I do not get anything either. I can get to http://192.168.X.X:80 though.... Tome

SSL Certificate issue
Ah, you are trying to actually read it with a text file? If so, yes, it should be gibrish. What you need to do is to go to your browser, hit the HTTPS url for your ISY, and then use the browser's utility to read your cert. Can you access your ISY LOCALLY using HTTPS and a browser? With kind regards, Michel

SSL Certificate issue
Hi Tome, SSL certificate should not be pure gibrish. Would you mind creating another certificate? With kind regards, Michel

telnet
Hi jkraus, To get it back, you would need serial access. Since most of the configuration functions are now supported in the UI, I do not think you need telnet at all for now. With kind regards, Michel

Hi, This problem is surely related to the number of nodes + previous settings. As such, I would recommend waiting for 2.7.9. With kind regards, Michel

GC-100
Hi Quixote, It would be a firmware update. You can currently do randomized offsets by using the Wait command and checking the random box. So, in the condition, you would use Sunrise/Sunset +/- offset but in the action you would use wait to randomize the offset. With kind regards, Michel
