  1. Hi all, If the device itself has an serial interface, then you can use Global Caché in conjunction with the network module. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi Chris, This issue is usually caused by your firewall software (on your computer) stopping your computer from uploading files into ISY. Please do check this forum for some remedies for most firewall software out there: http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewforum.php?f=3 With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi stevehoyt, Flex Your Power is a program independent of the Smart Meters. It simply gives you an indication of when CA ISOs may need your help. 0 = in active and the control is the module = Flex Your Power. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hi tandar, First of all, thanks so very much for your vote of confidence. It actually means a lot to all of us at UDI. Would you be kind enough to try an address within the DHCP range of your router (at the higher end). Some rudimentary routers might just look at the number ... With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hi Mark, Thanks so very much! It's good to cook dinner: it allows one to ponder about life in general and HA in particular! First of all, I am beginning to think that at least some of the problem is in 2.7.9. As far as having too many links, KPL (and most INSTEON devices except the ICON brand) should be able to handle 417 links. If you have 96 nodes only for one button, how many nodes do you think are linked to other buttons? Here's a rough estimate: 1. 8 links right of the bat for ISY to receive status updates 2. For each responder in a scene, one link 3. For each controller in a scene, two links If you are not going to add any motion sensors, may I humbly recommend upgrading to 2.7.10? With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi donkur, Please try the following: 1. Use https://your.isy.ip.address instead of http ... this might sometimes be able to trick some anti virus software 2. If 1 failed, please take a look at this post: http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=179 Hi gfridland, thanks so very much for the update. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hi tandar, Thanks so very much for the info. In most cases, the routers do NOT relay DNS requests for IP addresses that they have not issued themselves (using DHCP). I think this is the case with your situation. To rectify this issue, please use DHCP and then in your router, please reserve the IP address in the DHCP client table. This way, the router will never give your ISY a different IP address and it's happy that ISY is one of its DHCP clients. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hi rlav, Thanks so very much. We'll use this information for further investigation ... I do appreciate your patience. With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hi gfridland, 1. The certificate issue is normal and please do reinstall a new certificate 2. The event log now shows what we are writing to what memory location. This is used to write information to memory locations that are NOT link database related 3. Can you elaborate a bit on local on level/ramp rate not written to certain devices? Please note that unlike KPLs, most other devices have to be rebooted before local on level/ramp rate setting can take effect With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi Mark, What's the firmware version on your ISY? Do you have missing links or record mismatch? Can you send me one example of a missing link and provide me with the address for both of your KPLs (old and new)? With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hi Dave, I think I did answer the question but most probably not clearly. You see, unfortunately you can NOT put button A (or any KPL load button) in a mutually exclusive relationship with any other one of its buttons. I really wished I could help out here but this is completely outside of our control. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hi rlav, We are going to do more investigation on this issue. In the meantime, it would be great if you could go back to 2.7.7 and let me know if you still have the same issue. hart2hart, Thanks so very much for bringing this up. It's being investigated and shall be fixed shortly. With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi tummalarb, Please checkout this article in our Wiki: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... N:Schedule With kind regards, Michel
  14. MarkJames, I am so very sorry for the troubles. I think we are dealing with many issues here: 1. The difference between restore and replace 2. Changing the configuration between 6 and 8 button 3. Combination of 2 followed by 1 Unlike other solutions, ISY maintains a visual linkage between the buttons, the link records, and everything else there is to know about these devices. Button Toggle configuration (memory locations) is different for 6 and 8 buttons as well as button groupings. As such, if you replace an 6 button with 8 button KPL (and the other way around), you are bound to have many issues. This said, however, the link records should be restored properly. Now, are you saying that when you do a restore on this specific KPL and when you do a compare, there are many mismatches? If so, this is indeed a problem which is quite serious and should be looked at more thoroughly. As such, would you be kind enough to let me know which firmware version you are using? With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hi all, The issue with Motion Sensor (most i2 devices) have been verified and is now fixed in 2.7.11. The issue with EZX10RF is still under investigation. The issue with right mouse clicking a selection has been verified and shall be fixed. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hi tandar, It seems as if ISY cannot get to the Internet. Do you see a red exclamation mark in the config tab for NTP server? If so: 1. does your ISY have a static IP address? 2. can you send emails from your ISY? With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hi AnthemAVM, Do you still get the blinking KPL button? I think it would be much easier for us to get to your computer and see what is going on. With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hi wwat, Unfortunately there are no logs. The setpoints must be reported by the thermostat or queried. I am suspecting that all these issues are related to Program Heat/Cool mode. With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hello JBNY, I am so very sorry to hear this. This might be due to the system trying to synch up all devices with ISY. If you have not restored your 2.7.7 backup yet, please do try it. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi ergodic, Yes, you can but if you have not made major changes to your system, I advise against it. With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hi upstatemike, this might be due to the level of ISY firmware you have. In the code, this is supported in 2.7.9 and 10. With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hi geogecko, I think the problem is actual communications between the KPL and your devices. How many of your devices in this scene are SWL 35s? With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hi ergodic, First of all, you do have the right to complain ... this must have been quite an experience. I think the best way to go about this is: 1. Upgrade to 2.7.10 2. Restore your backup from 2.7.6/7 3. Click on the Battery button (the last button on the Admin Console) so that it's grayed out (this makes the operations manual for battery operated devices) 4. Do File | Restore Devices (this will automatically do a Restore PLM for you) 5. When you are done, click on the Battery button again so that ISY starts restoring battery devices one at a time (you will see an indication of which one is being done) With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi upstatemike, Can you tell me the exact description of your old lamplinc? Just rechecked and it should be supported. With kind regards, Michel It depends on the lamp
  25. Hi ergodic, I am so very sorry that you had to go through all this trouble. It must have been quite disheartening. I agree with you that 2.7.9 might have been the problem. As far as RL/MS, you now have a choice to do them separately (the button right next to the batch mode is for battery operated devices). Please do give that a try. With kind regards, Michel
