Hi helipal, It's quite possible that your company has blacklisted some private IPs. Can you get to ISY's homepage (not the Admin Console) from work? If not, then it's surely a firewall policy in your company (but this is extremely rare). If you can access the homepage then would you be kind enough to let me know which firmware does your ISY have? With kind regards, Michel

What's in the next release (2.8.16)

Hi hart2hart, Yes, there was a small batch of SWL v35s that exhibited signal sensitivity issues. The newer versions all work fine. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi MarkJames, Thanks so very much for the update (and words of encouragement!). Please send an email to support@universal-devices.com and we'll have the instructions emailed to you. With kind regards, Michel

Hi MarkJames, 1. Please try 2.7.7 and above 2. Please note the following: a. IOLincs versions 31 and below return the status of their sensor for the status of the relay regardless of the status of the relay. So, if you have any programs that depend on the status of the relay, then that would explain why you have to turn it off then on b. As Rand mentioned, in momentary mode, IOLinc does NOT resend the status of the relay when it's been turned off With kind regards, Michel

Hi ergodic, I am so very sorry to hear about these problems. To be honest, I think your PLM is dead (cannot communicate with the rest of your devices). Moving to 2.7.9 is not going to help. Indications that the PLM is dead: 1. Going to Tools | Diagnostics | PLM Status/Info shows disconnected 2. The RX light remains lit on your ISY With kind regards, Michel

hart2hart, First let me ask if that specific SWL is version 35. If so, that explains the issue you are having. With group commands (activating/deactivating a scene), ISY does not hear acks back. So, it assumes that they all worked out OK unless one (or more) send a NACK. In most cases, this does not happen. With kind regards, Michel -
rlebel, Yes. With kind regards, Michel

Hello hart2hart, This means that after you add a KPL/RemoteLinc button to a scene, the status of the KPL/RL button is no longer updated in ISY if you activate/deactivate the button physically. This problem is not readily reproducible but it does happen once in a while and especially with KPL v36 and new installations. With kind regards, Michel -
Hello all, Matt at SmartHome has been extremely helpful in tracking down Venstar gurus and has gotten an answer which I post down here verbose (THANK YOU MATT): It seems that the only thermostat version that is causing problems is the T1700. I talked with Mike at Venstar and he provided a quick fix to stabilize the humidity value (if you’re good at soldering). Look near the humidity sensor spot on the T1700 PCB. You can short the two contacts located next to the “C32†text. This will set the humidity value to 0% permanently. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Wayne, I am almost certain that they are not. You may want to post this question to the SmartHome section. With kind regards, Michel

Also, if your controllers are SwitchLincs v.35, you might have gotten some units from the batch which exhibited signal issues. With kind regards, Michel

Hi, You would have to adjust the sliders for each controller in that scene. Controllers are in red. Alternatively, you can adjust everything at the scene level and then copy the attributes to each controller. In short, for what you need to do, you should use scenes and NOT programs. You might find more useful information here: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... ide#Scenes With kind regards, Michel

Hi ryarber, JNLP requires WebStart ... in most cases, WebStart is installed with your Java. I am just not sure how Parallel works to be able to give you more information and how file associations are set up. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Paul, yes. In short, you would have to unlink them manually then the same nodes should be able to be linked again and reused. I have added a request to remove individual nodes from such devices. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi helipal, Thanks so very much for your words of encouragement! They mean a lot. 1. Unfortunately SH is the only place where you can buy the IOLincs 2. Yes, you can use T1800 in combination with ISY v.27.9 and above to receive humidity and local temperature with ISY With kind regards, Michel

What's the best method to use Home/Away with IEC display
Michel Kohanim replied to helipal's topic in ISY994
Hi helipal, Unfortunately that's currently the only way since IES does not support ISY programs. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi helipal, Currently IOLinc is 100% compatible. All EZxxx modules are hit or miss depending on their firmware version. With kind regards, Michel

Hi all, There seems to be a bug where adding the security code in the configuration causes a crash. Please do not use the security code in the configuration page since it really does not provide any function yet. With kind regards, Michel

Hi intellihome, Thanks so very much! I would very much appreciate it if you could keep us posted with your experimentation. It's very important for all of us to figure out the impact of these thermostats in real environments. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Paul, I do not think so unless you have unlinked them from your PLM. With kind regards, Michel -

Hello Paul, Unfortunately, currently removing a device with associated devices deletes them all. Perhaps we could add a feature to remove only the selected node but ONLY in the case of devices not including KPL, RL, CL, and V2 thermostats. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi intellihome, Disabling the device does not prevent it from sending updates to its slave (in this case the PLM). If the thermostat adapter is causing so much issues, you will have to completely remove it from ISY. I have two of these thermostats and although they keep sending updates, I have not noticed a lot of communication issues. What type of communication issues are you experiencing? I seriously doubt that SH is going to have a new firmware any time soon. With kind regards, Michel
