  1. Hi Vortec4800, By no means am I an expert in APs. With the disclaimer out of the way: APs do not maintain state nor are they linked in any shape or form. The setup process simply lets you know whether or not two APs are on the same phase. As such, you will have to redo the setup again. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hello MARosen, Let's set up a time to go through it together on the phone (preferably toward s the end of the week). With kind regards, Michel
  3. RPM, I must admit that I have never had this problem reported and, as such, I am not sure how helpful we can be. While I am sure our loyal forum members will chime in with as much insight as possible, but may I humbly suggest calling SH's tech support. If you get a run around, please PM me and I'll hook you up with the right people. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Drew, If this has happened without any external intervention, then I would worry about it: you will have to find the cause. Can you think of anything that might've powered down your PLM? With kind regards, Michel

Hi Bernhard, You'll find the instructions to download/install 2.6.4 here: http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewforum.php?f=25 You will be notified with 2.7/8 are officially released. If you have enabled Internet Access using File->Enable Internet Access, then simply choose File->Disable Internet Access. Otherwise, you will have to close the ports you have already opened in your router. With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi Jay, Yes, it is possible for those buttons to control your other A/V equipment but not likely. Yes, you can control a single light as well. In the Action section, instead of a scene, simply choose a single device. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hello Jay, I am so very sorry to hear about the problems you're having with your system. The reason is that SH decided (a while ago) to reuse one of the unused product codes for KPL. What you need to do is to upgrade to our release 2.6.4 (beta) the instructions for which you will find here: http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewforum.php?f=25 With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hello Jay M, Welcome! Everything is stored in ISY. You will find most, if not all, the answers to your questions here: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... w-To_Guide With kind regards, Michel
  9. drw, There's a capacitor which keeps the clock running for 6 hours. As such, there's nothing wrong with your ISY. With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hello SpaceCowboy, Apologies for the problems you are experiencing. C7 1] Node added to ISY 2008/05/25 09:45:18 :
  11. Hi Michael, We do not have a data file for RTI nor am I familiar with it. If possible, you can have him send us an email with the requirements and we'll figure out the best possible solution. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hi Brent, As d_l suggested, we have left dynamic DNS management to the router/modem since most (if not all) already support one (or many) dynamic DNS solutions. We tried to do something with one of the providers but they wanted to charge about $20/year per user so we decided against it. With kind regards, Michel
  13. Zellarman, Please start Event Viewer, try adding something to a scene, and then look for failure messages. These messages will tell you in what part of the process there was a failure and which device caused it. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Zellarman, 1. Do you have any RemoteLincs in those scenes? 2. What's the average number of controllers in those scenes? 3. Is there a pattern (a set) of devices that are common in the failing scenes? 4. Please use the Event Viewer to see what ISY fails on With kind regards, Michel
  15. Charlie, Please upgrade to 2.6.4 (http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=1218) and give it a try. If that does not work, increase your HTTPS timeout a little (telnet and use CWT). With kind regards, Michel
  16. Eddie, Thanks so very much for the update ... MD5 is a great idea. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Eddie, Thanks so very much for the update. I do very much hope that you are right. Please do keep us posted as we take any "crash" quite seriously and would like to have it diagnosed and remedied as soon as possible. Thanks again, With kind regards,
  18. Hi Dave, Thanks again for the update ... we do NOT use WML at all. I think this is all pointing to the gateway between ISY and your BB. I am unsure as to what we can do next since our BB emulator works fine (probably since it does not go through a gateway). Do you have any suggestions? With kind regards, Michel
  19. Dave, It is indeed quite perplexing ... I suspect it has to do with the gateway expecting something from ISY and not receiving it. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Dave, Precisely: If we "know" it's a mobile device, then we do NOT send: 1. Admin Console 2. Javascript used to close the browser when you close the Admin Console So, if you do NOT see the Admin Console in either case then the problem is NOT the user-agent since ISY has correctly identified your device as BB. Do you get the Admin Console link in both cases? With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hi Eddie, Thanks so very much for the update. Now, I am almost certain that the problem is network related: if the ERR/MEM light are on (10 seconds on/10 seconds off) then it means that ISY could not get a DHCP address from the router. This has been reported especially with Airport routers and, as such, I suspect you are going to have the same problem again. Release 2.6.5 may alleviate this problem to some degree (keeps trying and will never give up) but eventually there will come a time when the Airport just refuses to give an IP address to ISY. We are still trying to figure out the cause. Do you know what's your DHCP lease time? With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hi Dave, user agent is a field in HTTP requests which identifies the type of device making the request. We use this field to figure out if the requester is a mobile device. With kind regards, Michel
  23. Mark, Thanks so very much ... With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi Ron, This is quite interesting ... in both cases - and if we have the user agent correct - we do not add any JS in the resulting HTML. We search for RIM to make sure if the device is BB- it is possible that the user agent for David's and your BB does not include RIM. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hello Eddie, I am so very sorry to hear this and we'll do our best to get it resolved as soon as possible. Are you sure it's a solid ERR light and NOT ERR/MEM light turning on/off every 10 seconds? There are no paths in the code which keep the ERR light on constantly; there are, however, the following: 1. Error light blinks every 10 seconds -- File system problem 2. Error/Mem lights blink every 10 seconds -- DHCP/network problem Would you be kind enough to let me know if what you are experiencing is one of the above cases? Also, just to be on the safe side, if you could configure your ISY with static IP address then we can rule out #2. With apologies for the inconvenience, With kind regards, Michel
