I don't mind the number being high - just wondering if there are actual devices or routing etc... in the dongle. I did remove each device before adding them back, so I'd think there are the same number in the dongle as are shown in ISY device list, but I'm not at all sure about any of this. Thanks

Thanks. I looked further and that functionality is there, but it's under "alarm" or "access control" node I think -vs- before IIRC it was just under the main "Lock". False alarm, and as is often the case, operator error.

Thanks - I'll see about a refund. I was looking for "Polisy > Eisy" and I guess "994 > Eisy" didn't catch my eye. I don't mess with this thing any more than I have to these days, but did 10 years ago, so a lot of this is confusing to me now. Thanks for the help.

I couldn't make a migration from Polisy / Zooz to Eisy / Zmatter work so ended up having to remove and re-add all my Zwave devices. They start around ZY14 or so. Is there a way to "see" what is in the dongle so I can delete devices that possibly aren't actually in my current ISY (or is it Iox now?) configuration? Zwave seems to be working like it should (despite some missing functions in certain devices though). Thanks

With Polisy and Zooz dongle I could get a notification if someone entered using code #2, for example, but now this (and some other functionality) is missing from the drop down list while creating a program. Basic stuff is there however (is: locked, unlocked, jammed, etc...) Anyone know how to regain this or if this might be something coming in a future update? Thanks
-
...Figured most of it out. Not intuitive, not easy and not fun though. Zwave had to be dynamited and redone from scratch, also ended up having to re-buy licenses for PG3 apps. Probably missed some little tidbit of info that may have prevented the need for both of those, but I wasn't able to find it. All seems to work now though.

I see what seems to be dated (~ a year ago) info in many posts, and some of the more current discussion involves migrating from a 994. Is there a post or wiki someone could point me to that assumes current Eisy sw version (just received it) and migrating from a Polisy with a PLM and Zooz dongle? I don't want to blow up my working system, and it looks like there is a good possibility of that happening if I try and do this with the information I've been able to understand so far. Thanks for any pointers or links that would make the chances of success greater.

Newbie question on getting this up and running on Polisy
telljcl replied to telljcl's topic in RainMachine
EDIT: Due to bone-headed-ness and less than perfect vision, I finally saw that the IP address' first "." was actually a ":" So problem solved - sorry for chewing up bandwidth and please disregard the below as it relates to the ELK issue. So after banging my head against the wall and reading all sorts of cryptic instructions (some older, some newer apparently), I "updated packages" on the ISY config page and Voila - the node servers are connecting and showing up in IoP. The nodes are populating in the case of Rainmachine and Kasa, but the Elk Node server only has one node, and it is just basically a connection verification - no zone status etc... It is also showing (in IoP) "Connected" but the M1XEP status show "false", implying the Node server and the IoP are communicating, but the Node server is not getting through to the M1XEP (ethernet connection to ELK). I used the exact same parameters that have been in my old ISY for years - same ip, same password, same port... Tried "add all nodes" in IoP (there are about a dozen listed), but nothing populated in IoP. Any ideas from those that use an Elk? Thanks for all the assistance! -

Thank you - I added the IoP as you mentioned, but it appeared to be already in there. I made sure all the entries were identical to the link you provided though this time (IoP instead of ISY, etc...) Attached are a few screen shots of what I'm seeing... -
Newbie question on getting this up and running on Polisy
telljcl replied to telljcl's topic in RainMachine
Thank you! So I had already done what you suggested (or at least tried...). Under "Configuration" I had entered the i.p. of my RM, the pw for it, and replaced "metric" with "us", and saved. But when I try "start", or "restart", it always immediately says "Not running" with the red "disconnected" badge at the top. Never seen it say "connected". Updating the parameters (though there are no on-screen instructions that you mention that I could see) gives green boxes on the right confirming Polisy (I presume) has accepted the input. I suspect the issue could be that something isn't configured correctly in ISY on Polisy (IoP). Under "Node Servers", there is probably some procedure to link the RM node server on Polyglot? There is a list of pre-populated node servers listed under "node servers>add node", and several RM nodes are listed there (programs, zones, etc..) but I'm unsure about exactly how to configure this - if it is needed. I appreciate your time and help! -
Have just migrated most everything over from ISY994 and most things seem to work for now. I have purchased this in the store, it shows in my account, but it shows as not running, and I can't seem to figure out how to configure it (i.e. tell it what the ip of my Rainmachine is, etc...) Any basic direction would be appreciated, including where to ask this question if this isn't the place. Thanks

Very simple instructions requested to get ISY on Polisy

It is important to also add that, as usual, Michel and UDI determined the issue and provided a painless solution (within about 16 hours - including an overnight). Impressive. Thank you Michel! -

I'm not trying to waste anybody's time. Sometimes things don't work like they should, and they didn't for me (using the PW admin over and over...), and still aren't, but I'll take it up privately with support. -

Thanks - "admin" did allow me in finally, but only by using Putty as you suggested. Not sure why it didn't work the first two tries (with Putty - tried a dozen times before with SSH...), but after a reboot it got passed that screen. So it appears to be doing it's thing finally - thanks to all for taking the time to assist with issues. -

First one I tried - basically all I know to put in there. I can get through the Polisy password, but not the one as seen in the CMD box screenshot above. EDIT: Using Putty now "admin" works! Thanks!!! -

Thank you. So I installed Putty, but unfortunately I get the same request for a password as in the screenshot I posted earlier (which is not mentioned - that I can find - anywhere in wiki or other links that I've read...) I'll reiterate that this is not a request for the Polisy login password... This seems very straightforward, but appears it is a windows / authentication issue more than a Polisy one. I'll try from another computer... -

I actually did read - quite a bit - sir. I, however, cannot seem to get to the point where all the information that is discussed in the generously provided links actually works - apparently because I have no way of even installing "ISY" SW on my very old unit. Most of what I could find references units that behave differently from my unit with it's original FW. However I'm very sorry if I have inconvenienced or offended you in any way. -

So because of the age of mine, and apparently not being able to move forward w/out updating to a remotely modern FW, I've tried the SSH method you outlined, and get a response wanting a password. Neither windows PW or Polisy PW works - have no idea what PW it is looking for. Take a look at the CMD window screenshot. Do you have any thoughts on how to proceed? Thank you! -
Appreciate the confirmation and tips on waiting etc... One thing I know from owning an ISY for 12+ years I think is that the procedures to do things change along the way. So yes - I need to read through all those threads to make sure I don't miss something, and that I'm following the procedure for my FW etc... BTW, I updated the 994i to 5.4.3 w/out any apparent issues. Step one, anyway. Thanks

Yes - agreed. Thanks -
I upgraded to the 500 Zwave board when it came out. The SSH and "1.21" etc... is mentioned in this thread about how to SSH over to the Polisy (SSH is not something I've done before, but if I don't make a typo or reference an old version looks simple enough if his instructions are still valid...) I'm not sure the link below is going to the correct post, but the germane text is: At this point you are ready to start updating your Polisy. Copy and past the first line below, then when that has completed, copy and paste the second line and then allow 10minutes for your Polisy to completely update and reboot. curl -s https://pkg.isy.io/script/update121.sh | sudo bash sudo shutdown -r now Once it has fully rebooted, you will need to open a new SSH Command prompt. Follow the same procedure as list above, however this time you won't be prompted to accept the key. This is normal, that only happens the first time you SSH to a new device. Now that you are connected to the Polisy once again via SSH, copy and paste the following one line at a time again. cat /usr/local/etc/udx.d/static/update13.sh | sudo bash sudo shutdown -r now You will once again have to wait while the Polisy updates and reboots. Once this update has been completed you should be able to simply use the Polisy web interface to update.

Very simple instructions requested to get ISY on Polisy
telljcl replied to someguy's topic in IoX Support
Michel, I pre-ordered the Polisy way back when, so it is an "old" unit. I am on 5.0.16c in the 994i and want to migrate to Polisy for everything (including Zwave). Where is this migration tool located? Which Z-wave controller should be used (via USB, I assume) with my "old" Polisy? Much of the information about the Polisy is very confusing to me, though I've generally not had issues with my ISY units over the years. Thank you for some help here. -
Excellent - thanks. It says in that guide to migrate with the ISY on 5.3.4 FW and I'm on 5.0.16C. Is this required? The 5.3.4 page makes it sound like updating may cause issues, so I'd like to change as little as possible and still get a solid migration. My Polisy is also apparently very "old". There is no ISY on it, and none of the "upgrade" functionality works. Appears I'll have to SSH some code to it to make it into a "newer" Polisy. The post by @dbwarner5 shows appears to show a 1.21 version file in the SSH instructions - is this still the one to use at this point? Thanks
