I just tried it again. Reboot IoP and then all PG3 nodeservers have mostly blank info. I hit query and nothing. Reboot Pg3 and it all comes in.

I think this is a bug but everytime I restart my ISY on Polisy the nodeservers that are Pg3 dont have any status for online even after query. Pg2 is fine. If I go to Pg3 there and restart Pg3 then it all comes back fine. Otherwise it keeps running fine.

I just added and edited devices today and it does continue. It would write Link 1 and then you would have pages of nodesever data like the weather and my alarm and then link 2. It took several minutes to do one device. Then as a test I did the same device with PG3 and PG2 off and it took about 20 seconds. So I dont think it knows enough to pause and queue.

When I am writing to devices (Initial Setup or Scene Creation) I noticed it was taking forever. Looking at the logs I see all the nodeserver data coming in. I used sudo service polyglot stop and sudo service pg3 stop and then did the same tasks and it took 10 seconds rather than a minute. So from now on I will stop services before and start after. With that said, why is that not part of the programming? When I Link and Insteon or Z-wave device it stops it and when linking is done it starts it. Or when you add or delete something to scene it does the same thing?

I posted on here that I'm having a lot of problems with the insteon leak sensors on ISY on polisy Any ideas on another one that works with polisy. Problem is I need about a dozen of them so it can't be too expensive I already run wireless tags an ecowitt/ worst case I can use their products probably

Due to some other issues I went back to my at 994 I and I can tell you they worked fine. Then I restore polisy from scratch and then brought over the backup they were showing no status. I deleted them all and added them all again and still no status and then by accident I hit one of the buttons just quick press and instantly showed heartbeat on, dry on and went off. I did that for all of them and thought I had it until I rebooted the ISY and now it's back to the same way Any ideas?? Jeff

by the way I had the 99i with x-10 so been doing this for years. My system has grown and have like 800 programs so you can see why rebuilding from scratch would make me cry.

Guys- all of you- Thank you for just being there even if you just say hi LOL I just have had bad luck. I had 3 PLM's The first one died. Before I knew that I had all the issues with Polisy due to that and went back to ISY. Then I had a dead sim. Then I put a new SIM in and the backups would not restore. Said file size was not expected (of course at 95%). I backup about 1-3 times a day and store 2 years of backups. So I tried randomly going back. Well thats bad luck #3 (PLM, SIM, and now backups). I have a large system and MY ISY is overloaded with 21 nodeservers. It reboots a lot. A lot of the time I am using the Admin console when it reboots. I had to write a program that runs on startup to send message it rebooted because most of the time I dont even know (Sometimes it freezes on way back and sometimes if in admin I get another login screen) So what I found happens is if it reboots while backing up the backup keeps going in admin console but does not tell you- Thus corrupt backups. So instead of randomly trying them (And whats the odds of trying about 6 backups all the way back into last year and I pick all the bad ones) I did them one by one and found one from last Thursday night that restored (not that bad) Then scenes were still not working so I had to restore the PLM again. Now they are all working and back to rebuilding. I have to get to the point where I was when this started. Z-Wave. Just in case I ordered another Zooz from Amazon for delivery today. back to work. reboots itself every few min. Scenes dont work (most devices do). I cant even restore the PLM because it keeps rebooting. i have had polisy since it came out a couple years ago (or whenever) and it never rebooted until today. I setup a program on startup that runs and sends email on restart. I am in the middle of using admin console and it says restarted. I am going back to old ISY but now the PLM is so out of date so I have to restore it Then I will reset the Polisy and start over.

I think I am going to have to do that . I already knew that but was hoping there was a way to delete and reinstall ISY on Polisy

This is what started the mess. Everything was going great. The dongle disappeared from it and I tried everything so I did the power cycle. Then things did not work right with insteon after that and the dongle still cant be seen

Nothing is working. I think I need to reset the entire thing. Tried to go back to old ISY and its all messed up too because of changes made today. this is a mess. I have a backup before I started so I may have to go back to old ISY, restore the backup, and then restore PLM. I would like to WIPE the polisy ISY (not the rest of it) and then start over again with the backup I had. There has to be a reset or maybe SSH command to start over. I did make a backup of ISY on polisy when it was working well but when I restore that none of my scenes work. This is a pain. I wish I had just stuck with OLD ISY. Yes this is a lot faster but something went wrong. In fact at the beginning i had a zwave dongle with no devices but it showed up. Now it says its not available even though its plugged in.

Pg2 interface. Go to the settings menu and polyglot settings. Change the ISY information there

I have not got to that point. Been working all day and was just about done and my PLM got all screwed up. No scenes worked etc. So now resetting PLM but I was told you just change the IP address to that of the Polisy with the correct port and it should work. And of course you have to have the portal on the new one.

Everything screwed up. Its giving me platform errors and its auto disconnecting (all wired no wireless) I am going to go back to 994i for now and use a NEW PLM next time. But I cant find any way to reset ISY on Polisy

I keep getting this error on the device. And thats after deleting, resetting, and reinstalling. Its a bogus error as it says SMTP. I tested and SMTP server is working fine. I think there is something wrong here. Reboot your ISY and then check them Try to set them off. Wont work for me

maybe its a major delay in updates. When you go to heartbeat in yours does it say something. Mine is blank. But I have a couple that say Dry On.

nope thats whats strange. I even had the insteon door sensors and others but they all work. all 9 of my leak sensors dont but I am in process of adding them

Not sure why but each one I have to Delete, Add, and then restart the ISY but they are working after that

If I go back to old ISY they work. New one I can delete it, add it, but none of the options work and no status in ISY.

Thanks. Have it working and everything seemed. fine. But now the portal can suddenly not see it after restoring from backup. I want to reset it again but no idea how to reset ISY on Polisy to default See post (answer there) I just put in the main directory of ISY on Polisy forum

I setup my new ISY on Polisy. I registered it on the Portal and it was there. I paid for 2 years so I could have both ISY running. SO both are licensed. I restored the backup and then did the migration in the portal. I turned OFF the transfer portal license because I already had one. This step was to get alexa over. then NEW ISY went offline. Now in portal it shows offline and the ISY is working but the PORTALS section is gone in configuration. I tried to restore again. Same thing. I tried another machine to make sure its not any JAVA issue same thing. Good news is I transferred my alexa spokens back to other ISY. How do you WIPE an ISY on Polisy and start over without backup? Maybe its my backup but I also tried an older one.

Oh so you are saying to add them all to the new ISY first without resetting the devices? I was thinking exclude from old and then include on new. And one other thing. I read you can have existing devices on ISY on Polisy before you do restore of the old ISY and they wont be deleted. Would you restore ISY first and then do z-wave or get them all working while old ISY is up and running and then restore the backup. Just confused.
