  1. I'm trying to install the Mobilinc Connect module, but I'm getting an error. "TCP client DNS error" Any suggestions?

24hrs, which I believe is the default setting. I don't recall ever changing it. In the past I had tried every time server that I could find, and none of them ever worked. Like I said, I wish I understood this stuff better. Thanks again.

That seems to have worked. Thanks. The red exclaimation mark is gone. I wish I understood this DNS stuff better. I don't understand what "8.8.8.8" has to do with anything and I don't understand why what I had did not work when it seems to work for others.

I have never been able to get the clock to synchronize. The time is always off and if I hit the Synchronize Now button, I get an error window. What am I doing wrong?
  5. You can also use the SimpleHomeNet EZIComm. It's functionally equivalent to the discontinued 2412S. It's not dual band, but I like it because it's one less wall wart to deal with.
  6. Thanks Illusion. That's probably WAY simpler than what I would have come up with.
  7. I've written a few simple programs for the ISY, but my knowledge is no where near some of yours. So I thought I would just ask for help instead of struggling to figure this out. In a nutshell, we have a water feature in our backyard and I would like to have it run basically at random during the day. So, for example, let's say: * I only want it to run between 8 am and 10 pm * Run times and off times are random * When it does run, I want it to run at least 20 minutes, but no more than 60 minutes * When it is off, I want it to stay off for at least 30 munutes, but no more than 90 minutes * And, if possible, it only runs for a total of 4 hours a day (this is not that important, but thought I would throw it in as a wish list) If someone could at least give me the basics as to how to approach this, I would really appreciate it.
  8. Everybody grab your knife and fork and start pounding them on the table! Fanlinc! Fanlinc! Fanlinc! (yes, I'm a troublemaker)
  9. Is EZUIRT still a no go? My EZUIRT and IR remotes are an integral part of my Insteon system and I was really disheartened to find it not supported after purchasing my ISY. Is there at least a way to get the links into the ISY database so they aren't overwritten?
