pentair easytouch screenlogic for eisy now in PG3x
To me, this is what your node arrangement should be replicating. You have a "Solar Thermostat" in your nodes. I don't even know what that means. It's like saying "Gas Thermostat" on my home. It doesn't make sense. A thermostat controls the temperature in an area... House/upstairs/downstairs/north wing/pool/spa. Within the thermostat controls you choose the source of heat. Gas (or "Heater")/Solar/Solar Preferred. Features seem fine, but I would prefer to see On and Off instead of True and False, but not a big deal. Features are now updating when controlled from outside IoX, so that's great.

pentair easytouch screenlogic for eisy now in PG3x
I finally got around to installing and checked it out a bit yesterday. Thanks for putting this together. What I noticed: I don't understand the "Solar Heating" and "Solar Thermostat" naming and the repeating of temperatures in them. I have a pool and spa, gas heater and solar panels. My ScreenLogic desktop app presents this as 2 thermostats, one for pool and one for spa. Within each you select "off, heater, solar pref, solar only". I'm not getting updates into the plugin when changes are made outside the plugin. For example, if I turn on spa jets from the remote panel, the value for spa jets in the plugin never changes to True. Conversely, if I turn on the spa jets from the plugin, all works as it should. I don't see "Spa Setpoint" anywhere, just "Pool Setpoint". I can post any screenshots you might want.

Ecobee not communicating
Safe to assume that the ability to control the backlight is never going to come back?

I can't wait to try this!

Ah yes. UDI is in that list. Thank you.

Ecobee not communicating
I just checked my account on ecobee.com and checked the Developer page. I only see my Home Assistant application listed. Shouldn't Universal Devices (or whatever) be there too? It's been years since I set up the ecobee nodeserver and I don't remember how that all worked.

Line-in?
It was relatively easy to set up an NR to set the Line-in value to my Sonos devices. Is it possible (easily) to read the current value from the Sonos device too? I'm not terribly well versed in this stuff, but with enough Googling, and asking Gemini, I can usually copy and paste enough to get things to work. But I haven't been able to figure this out.

Ah HAH! Problems here too, but I've been having so many other network issues lately, I assumed the problem was mine alone.

Line-in?
After much head scratching I finally figure out that Line-in can be made a Sonos Favorite. So I did that. Somehow persuaded the ST-Sonos plugin to update it's list of Favorites to show the newly added Line-in Favorite. I set up a Program so the Action portion would Set the Sonos Connect device to the Line-in Favorite... I even added Play command too... and... big fat nothing burger. To verify, I selected a different Favorite to test, and that worked. But it won't switch over to Line-in with the Favorite that is Line-in.

HomeAssistant VM Gone after 6.0.0?
Kudos to those of you who were braver than me. When this functionality was first talked about awhile back, I was all excited and planning on also moving my Home Assistant to my eISY. Ultimately I chickened out and bought another Quieter Mini PC instead to install Home Assistant. Issues like the one in this post were exactly my fear and why I chickened out.

What is current status of Matter devices?
SmartWings has a motor that is "Matter over Ethernet"... would that not be a third? Not arguing! I just want to be knowledgeable.

Polyglots not working after power failure
Same here. I have to remember to restart my plugins whenever the power goes out and resumes.

SmartWings Shades Matter Over Ethernet and PoE
In my case, "easy" has nothing to do with it. Installing shades or anything else in my home comes down to doing it the way I want it, regardless of how "easy" it is. My wife says I'm "stubborn". 🤔 Are you talking about swapping out the shades down the road with another brand/vendor? I don't see the problem. Obviously any battery powered shades could be installed. And as far as the hardwire, the cat5e cabling could easily be used to supply 12V, or whatever, if desired.

SmartWings Shades Matter Over Ethernet and PoE
Has anyone else seen the new SmartWings motors that are Matter Over Ethernet and PoE? Is eisy's Matter going to be able to control these? I was just about to start running 16/2 to a few of my windows. Even bought a 500ft roll of cable and a power supply. Then I ran across the announcement from SmartWings. This will probably change all of my plans.

Rack Mount?
Eisy is a MeLE Quieter3Q Mini PC. You might find something searching for that.

I added memory, but now want to remove.
I added memory to my eisy per this article: https://developer.isy.io/blog/NVMe/ I did so in anticipation of adding a VM with Home Assistant per this article: https://developer.isy.io/blog/Home Assistant I added the memory, but I did not install the VM. I went a different direction and now I would like to remove the memory from the eisy to use somewhere else. Do I just pull the memory stick out and that's it? Or do I need to enter some commands in terminal first?

No way to detect/trigger on scene events in IoX?
IMHO, a Scene should be Executed (turned "on" if you will) and nothing else... Launching a macro, as @Guy Lavoie said. Controlling a bunch of things together (on, off, dim, etc) is a Group. The beautiful thing about IoX is that you can do both/either with the Scene functionality. It's up to us how we use it.

No way to detect/trigger on scene events in IoX?
Before the Virtual plugin came along I was doing this with an unused keypad. This gave me 8 virtual switches in one physical device.

POLISY = EISY?
2 reasons I moved from Polisy to eisy 1. Smaller package. Space is at a premium in my SMC and I can get the eisy in it with a half width bracket instead of a full width bracket. 2. You can put VMs on it like Home Assistant. Can't do this with Polisy.

IOLinc Query returns incorrect status.
As suggested, I switched the reed switch to NO and unchecked Trigger Reverse. All seems good now. It still leaves 3 mysteries: - Why did this never show up for me as an issue when using Polisy? - Why does Home Assistant show the State correctly? - Why has Insteon never fixed this? I'm not expecting any answers here. Just wondering. Thanks!
