  1. The dream would be to be able to use HueEmulator with my Brilliant Home Control panels. I've had discussion with Jimbo in the past, but now it has been awhile and wanted to see if anything has changed that might make this a possibility. As I understand the issue (and I could be way off because I don't claim to understand these things) is that a real Hue bridge runs on port 80 and thus that is the only port that Brilliant looks at. It is also my understanding that ISY also runs on port 80 and that cannot be changed. Thus, HueEmulator cannot run on port 80. If Brilliant would change the way it works to look at the port that HueEmulator is using, it would probably work. But Brilliant is not going to do this. I have tried and they see no reason to make the change since real Hue runs on port 80. My workaround had been to use the Emulated Hue integration in Home Assistant, but now that is not working either. Talking with Brilliant support at length, I was able to learn this information: "One thing that did change with the Hue integration recently was we switched the discovery of Hue to use MDNS instead of UPnP (Hue will be deprecating UPnP). It may be possible the virtual hub mentioned (Home Assistant Emulated Hue) doesn't implement MDNS properly so we cannot find it on our end after switching the discovery method." I have no idea what this means, but it seems to be why the Home Assistant Emulated Hue integration used to work, but now it doesn't. Another thing I have run across that I have not seen before is this tidbit from the Home Assistant Emulated Hue integration readme: "This virtual bridge runs at HTTP port 80 and HTTPS port 443 on your local network. These ports can not be changed as the HUE infrastructure requires them to be at these defaults." Does this mean that HueEmulator could be made to work on port 443? Probably wishful thinking.
  2. I've certainly done it many times when there is an update. I couldn't tell you exactly when I last did it, but within the last few months for sure.
  3. I have to do exactly as @IndyMike explained. The "Finder" has NEVER not said "not found". Funny thing is, it has recently started to list my Polisy in the 2 formats as has been discussed in other threads. So it obviously "found" something, but still ALWAYS says "not found".
  4. Hey Jimbo. Enjoy your Christmas. I'll survive.
  5. Oh great. Now you tell me. I did last night, and yeah, it is broken. How do I roll it back?
  6. It's not just you. I am experiencing the same thing. Update: I discovered that using the LAN login from the launcher instead of CLOUD works. CLOUD is not working for me at all.

Interestingly, mine has now been rock solid for several weeks now.
  8. Yes. Sorry, should have been clearer. Oof. Yup, that did it. Logged out and back in and now there is much joy. Thanks!
  9. @DennisC I've tried at least a dozen times to activate the Safely Shutdown with 3 presses, but it just won't work for some reason. A couple of times I did get a beep out of it and it seemed to reboot, but never got a shutdown. Again, I don't think my multifunction button works. Not your problem of course, just letting you know where I'm at.
  10. @DennisC I previously tried both "Polisy Reboot" in the AC and physically unplugging it. I just now tried the three presses of the multifunction button, but it's weird. There is no beep when I push it like the wiki says. I tried 3 quick presses and nothing happened. I thought maybe I was doing it too quick, so I pressed the button and held it for a bit. Still no beep. Seems maybe my multifunction button doesn't even work?
  11. @DennisC Yeah, tried lots of restarting and rebooting. @bpwwer I had not tried running the upgrade packages, but now I have. Rebooted Polisy again, but still no joy. What is interesting is everything seems to still be working. Is that because PG3 is still in place and running?
  12. I attempted to upgrade to PG3x, and it has not gone well. Polisy IoX 5.6.0 Polyglot 3x "Home" tab says in red "Not connected to server... Try refreshing the page." "PG3x Version 3.1.20", "Status:Disconnected PG3x Restart Required", Frontend Version: 3.1.26", "IoX Version:Disconnected" Polyglot 3x "Dashboard" tab says in red "No IoX was automatically discovered on your local network. Please configure it in the IoX menu to proceed." Also says "No IoX found. Please add one!. I have tried "Add New IoX", but nothing happens. "Auto Discover IoX's" also does nothing.
  13. Number 4 is almost certainly never going to happen. Harmony has never exposed button presses through their API. This has been a sore spot in many discussions on many home automation forums for many years.
  14. Yeah, you need 2 programs. When the motion sensor goes to OFF within the 5 minute wait the THEN is cancelled and the IF is re-evaluated.

Well. as an end user, I was referring to a merging of features and only having one NS for Sonos. I wouldn't know anything about the programming languages. That's pretty much how I remember it too. This was before the structure to charge for Nodeservers was implemented. That's some great positive news. Thanks for looking into this.

@bpwwer I could be wrong, but I seem to remember something in the forum some time ago that it was hoped that the 2 Sonos nodeservers would be combined into one. Is that in the works by any chance? Seems really odd to have 2 of them.

Mine fails every 3 days or so, almost like clockwork. I've sent a few log packages to @simplextechbut have so far received no response. I just looked and it is failed again. Full disclosure, I have been having networking issues in general at my house for a couple months now. Everything worked great for years and now a few devices are just giving me fits. Most notably, Ecobee. Just can't put my finger on where the issue is. ST-Sonos_3-29-2023_80751-AM.zip
  18. Seems like "emulate" or "imitate" would be better words than "hacked". The nodeserver is imitating the app.
  19. I had what could be the same issue. What worked for me

    and so it begins...
  21. I'm on Polisy with PG3 version 3.1.18.
  22. There has been a message on my ST-Sonos nodeserver that 1.0.8 is available and to restart to update. I've restarted many times over a few weeks and the message it still there and I still show at version 1.0.5.
